I got as far as the moment where the fiery tornado steals the signpost.  That [tornado fang]ing wind, coupled with the sluggish controls make me rage.
The sluggishness may be your computer - for some reason, only minor framerate issues and stuttering happens for me, so maybe you have an AMD and it doesn't like it. There have been some people who are utterly hated by the game, though.
I hated Crisis City and Planet Wisp as Classic. At least on the first run through. It's like they were sane on Modern's design but went to town going hard mode with Classic's. Who the hell puts flame-spewing gaps of pain in the center of floating platforms? Try not to get too discouraged, though - think of them as hard final levels, because the Modern Era is pretty much that.
I beat that level just maybe an hour or two ago. Now I have to search for boss keys to fight the next boss.

The PC version really have full 60fps, or is it locked down to 30?

Yes, it has dose 60 fps.
Though, as I said, I can only experience it fully on 800x600.

In any case...
I tried many times to beat Egg Dragoon... and failed, then my friend beats him for me in two tries.
BUT IT GETS BETTER HOLD YOUR [tornado fang]ing HORSES!
Then I go to fight Time Eater... I died many times.
My friend...
He...

I wish that Perfect Chaos and Death Egg Robot were harder to beat.

Perfect Chaos (Dreamcast/Gamecube) took 6 hits to die, While Generations Chaos takes 4 hits.

It may be quicker, but at least it's a more interesting fight than in SA1. The terrain is infinitely more varied.

Really, all the bosses before Egg Dragoon are easy, even on Hard mode. Egg Dragoon would be easier if it weren't for the perspective changes screwing you over so much. I hate that fight just as much as the final boss. They're not put together well at all.

Actually, is there any reason to play the bosses on Hard mode on PS3 and PC? On 360 your reward is Eggman clothes for your avatar.

I recall the Egg Dragoon just as an ass as it was in '06. Hooo boy, not looking foward to that rematch.

Workshop/DA/YT/Photobucket なにかんがえてるの!?
So its about ass now huh? EVEN THE ASS HAS 'EXCEEDED'!

One mention of LEGENDS and everyone goes batshit.  :\

Yep, every time when someone mentions that game people get energized for an apparent reason whatsoever. It's like this everywhere else, trust me.

It got really messy to find my sprite and comic topic, so it's in my sig.

Dragoon's from Unleashed, though.  :P

Also, the PC version can load levels faster and run things smoother if you have a high-end computer, but otherwise its only 'advantage' aside from resolution is the possibility of Sonic Retro or some other site hacking it sooner or later. Hell, someone might mod Classic to 'perfection', but I won't hold my breath. So there's no reason to beat any boss on Hard aside from self-gratification or if you're trying to S-rank everything.

Also, since the Casino Night pinball DLC (no actual stage, the 3DS version gets a full stage) is part of the game data, some people have had it work randomly on the PC version and modders will probably unlock it sooner or later.

TvTropes alerted me to the fact that Shadow gives you that DAMN fourth Chaos Emerald. Might just be a coincidence, but Sega does have a pretty good sense of humor.

Also, anyone dig around the files on the disc for stuff yet? I wonder if there's dummy data for an extra stage between Seaside Hill and Perfect Chaos.

I got everything in the game now~ <3 :cookie:

Everything went smooth sailing, it didn't feel tedious to collect all the things, unlike say, Sonic '06. 8D

This is definitely among my most favorite Sonic games ever! Sonic Generations, I love you~ <3

Let's hope for a Sonic Generations 2 in the next 5, 10 or 25 years. 8D

Got it for PC. 1080p, 60fps, and only 30$ no less. Life is good.

My respect for Sega is through the roof right now. They did just about everything right.

I have yet to get the game, but how does the Stardust speedway music work? I know theyve got a remix of both the JP/EU and US tracks, but are they random? Do they work by regional code? is the US one just an extra?

Im curious.

...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

It's unlockable in any version I would assume, and like all other extra songs can be played on any stage. In fact, there aren't any songs from the JP/EU soundtrack in the unlockable song collection. Just Stardust Speedway and Sonic Boom (which I swear was taken right out of Brawl given its shortass loop).

Maybe some of us have less patience than others, or that I can't beat him at a decent time (I want to pummel the Egg Dragoon at 2:00, but that ain't happenin') is what makes him difficult.

It's not that he's hard. It's just he would get cheap hits on me when switching between 2D and 3D. And the only thing that makes Time Eater hard is the sloppy ass controls.
