I feel so privileged that I got that because of 90's childhood.

...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

Protoman Blues

As you should! Haha, if only they could get Jaleel to voice classic Sonic for this game.

I wonder how you could implement chili dogs into classic Sonic gameplay.  Maybe we can collect them in special stages or something. XD

haha, oh believe me, I am.  90's were the bomb.

Yeah. XD Jaleel sonic making a cameo would rock.

heh, I used to have a Sonic bookmark that said "Reading is way past cool!" that I bought at a Scholastic booksale in Grade school. I really wonder where it went.

Well if theres one nod that Unleashed got massive props from me for, it was including chilli dogs as a food item. I was like "Oh they didnt... THEY DIDN- THEY DID! OMG!"

That last video didn't look too bad IMO. Just wish that (2D) Sonic built momentum as he ran instead of going full speed in less than a second. Why is that so hard to do, I'll never understand.

Black Knight had chili dogs in the first cutscene of the game. ^^; </wii>

Commander Shepard: *stares blankly at a video of scantily clad asari dancers* ...What kind of hotel is this?
Liara T'Soni: It is a luxury resort with an... exotic edge.  Azure is slang for a part of the asari body in some places on Illium.
Shepard: Where?
Liara: The lower reaches, near the bottom.
Shepard: I meant, "where on the asari body?"
Liara: So did I.

Now if only they can actually make a good game that iinvolve 'complex' plotlines and the same formula Sonic Adventure used. Yeah, chili dogs are fun.

I learned that all things explode in slowmotion if you punch them hard enough.

You may have to be on fire for that to happen, though.

[tornado fang] no.

The hell is wrong with Sonic Adventure?

I don't want another game like it, especially with an "Anniversary" game style taking levels from the old games.

You really have to TRY to pull off some of that crap.

Granted, the physics were far from perfect but there's a lot of hyperbole inherent in that video.

Wait, does it really work like that when he Spin dashes off an edge? because that's unacceptable.

Hypershell

Only if you release the pad/stick.  That video is basically a dozen different ways of showing off the same two issues:
1. Sonic is at all times equipped with midair-brakes when your pad/stick is neutral.
2. When low on momentum, hills will cancel your movement outright instead of resulting in a back/forth motion as in the Genesis.

The first is awkward for veterans, but workable (and even exploitable; jump to quickly stop).  The second is a MEANINGLESS aesthetic issue, not that I expect much from a group that's still bitching over eye color.

Anyone who reads the Archie comics would get that, but props to you anyway. 8)

I never had 75% of those problems because I always held forward while spin dashing and stuff like that, even back in the Genesis days. In fact, I'd say being able to stop on a dime like that could be useful somewhere.

As for the rest of the stuff, yeah, you actually have to try to create those situations. i.e, You're Doing It Wrong On Purpose.

What happens in Vegas stays on Youtube. I also stream on Twitch from time to time.

You know, I miss the days when "pointless movement quirks that nobody would ever find unless doing intentionally" were something fun, rather than something to [sonic slicer] about.  You know, like the Super Mario Bros. vine dance, or Contra's electric fence.

To be fair those weren't trying to emulate a predecessor.

Hypershell

EVERY sequel that "emulates a predecessor" still does something different, especially during a hardware shift.  I could rip into Contra 4 just as easily as (if not more so than) I could Sonic 4.

LoL, before this gets any worse, can we please not drag yet another Sonic topic down to "what's wrong with his games/eye color/spikes/Super Sonic/etc." I believe we already have a topic for that. Gracias!  8)

We had a topic for that, it was stickied then it fell down into obscurity after it was unstickied.

I agree w/ this 100%.  Nowadays, it's BEYOND bad if one game has fun little quirks likes so, or even tricks that mess around w/ the game's mechanics (ie. all the speedrunning tricks for Mario 1 and 3).

...and let's not forget the NES Metroid's "2 items only" runs
