I'm sure there's more than one person on this forum who affectionately names inanimate objects, so let's share our embarrassing naming conventions!
I'll start first.
Xion D33Type: Personal computer.
History: That's his full name right there, there's something interesting in his initials but that's for me to know and bored people to figure out. There isn't much of a story as to why I named him Xion. I just chose a name that began with X because his chassis is decorated with them
of course, I chose the chassis myself. Xion is the PC I do everything on.
NixType: External HDD
History: A tiny external bought to back up Xion's most important files. Polar opposites but also just different sides of the same coin
Morte YP-U3Type: Mp3 player
History: Morte is the first device I named. He was a B'day present from my high school friends
what the hell I used to go to school?! and so I became affectionate and named him and his sister on the spot. They were named after their colours~
IchigoType: Blankie
History: Yes, blankie. I called her strawberry because she was pink and cute. Okay? I don't actually like Bleach.
CantilenaType: Piano
History: She's like 10 years old, but I only named her recently. She's served me well over the years and deserves some love.
VirgilType: B'day present - I mean, DS Lite
History: 1 year after Morte, my friends gave me a Virgil. Aww, I wub them
Virgil has actually met and befriended Lucent, a somewhat older female DS Lite who accidentally got dropped a few times.
Aaaand that's it~
What do you mean that's it? You mean holy [parasitic bomb] it finally ended manUnless anyone is interested in the fact that I named my current USB 'Blues' because of its colour scheme and to give me an incentive to not leave it behind. My friends question my colour naming. I tell them it's a music genre.
