The Curious League of Comic Book Geeks

Hey all. LoL, I know many of you are not into comic books, but my friend Josh and I have created a podcast called The Curious League of Comic Book Geeks, which will be a weekly podcast dedicated to comic book reviews, spotlights on certain series, and other various comic book related stuff. Feel free to give a listen if you want. I hope everyone who listens to it enjoys it.  8)

P.S. - Also we, the Curious League of Comic Book Geeks apologize for the length of this first episode. LoL, due to background info on our favorite comics, as well as what got us into comics, it ran a bit longer than normal!  8D

I'm currently listening to it and aside from some minor recording issues and the fact that it just cut out at the talk of Batman: Year One (shortly after the Watchmen discussion), I enjoyed it.  Dunno why it ended there, though.

Protoman Blues

Episode 2 is now up! Hopefully my voice will sound better next podcast, as I will be getting my mic back or just recording from Josh's place.

Quickman

Yay!  The episode played all the way through to the end!  I'll be sure to tune in for the reviews, see if there's any new comics I should grab when I hit the stores.

Protoman Blues

I seriously recommend Irredeemable. It's [tornado fang]ing awesome.

Episode 3 - I Wanna Take You For A Ride is now available for your viewing/listening pleasure. My sexcellent voice sounds a whole lot better now.

Quickman

Indeed.  Those Logitech Rock Band mics are great.

Be aware, though, folks, there may be some spoilers abound.  I enjoyed the episode, though.

Protoman Blues

I think you'd really like our Series Spotlight this week, Quickie. The Unwritten is a really awesome and unique story.

Quickman

I'll be sure to check it out next time finances allow.

Just wanted to chime in on how the show's coming along. I like it, you guys certainly have a good setup for the show. Certainly feels like you guys have more of a direction now that all the introductory stuff is out of the way.

Black Mage J

Ooh, an informative podcast thing.
Not truly my thing, but I'll try to give it a listen sometime.

Thanks. Yeah, the intro thing was just to give some info about ourselves, but the format is much better now, as well as my mic now that I have my Logitech Rock Band mic back.

Oh, purge your cache.  Both logos had been retouched to remove some jaggies.

I gave Episode 3 a listen. It was informative, succinct and very little hiccups inbetween you two, from what I heard, at least. And it actually made me want to read Knight And Squire. Though this really isn't my thing (My thing being drunk gaems journalists making funny wisecracks while keeping a friendly feel and a beefy length.)

Hey cool. Thanks for giving us a listen. As for Knight & Squire, it's really awesome, but you should wait till they make it a Hardcover or Trade Paperback, since it's only a 6 issue miniseries.

Quickman

Clear your cache, the logos have been tweaked.

Protoman Blues

They look wonderful! XD XD

Kinda a bummer that the Larfleeze issue sucked.  I was really tempted to pick it up.  But, thankfully, I can save my money and spend it on something else.  Like Super Sculpey.[/spoiler]

Oh, suggestion for a future review... Ashley picked up an issue of Lady Mechanika, and I haven't looked at it yet.  But, if a new ish is out next time you two go out for comics, can you give that one a look-see?  I'm debating on picking it up.

Protoman Blues

Sure thing. Perhaps we can give it a gander! XD

Episode 6 of The Curious League of Comic Book Geeks is now available for your listening pleasure. Listening, as for the time being I've decided to put the video of it on hold.

Quickman

...Now it suddenly demands I install QuickTime to view it.  What happened to the embedded Flash player?
