Yeah, we all know the "favorites" of the series like the MM2 Wily Stage 1 or MMX1 Intro Stage, but what about your favorite unsung song?

Well post it here, and we'll laugh at you discuss what makes a song our favorite, even though others may hardly even remember it.

I've gotta say that MM4's Wily Stage 2 creates a nice sense of urgency with just a hint of the unknown. You really can feel like you're traveling down (sometimes literally) those corridors trying to find Dr. Wily, your nemesis whom you assumed had bought the farm last time.

Toad Man's theme is absolutely fantastic, yet you can count the number of remixes it's received on one hand. But then, it seems like MM4 music on the whole is largely slept on. Sucks, really.

It is funky! That's a piece that'd make for some good interpretations in a number of genres. There's enough pauses in it; you might could even pull off some Metal.

Skullman.

...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

MM4's final battle music is probably my fav of all the final battle themes in classic MM. Love that tune.

Skull Man's theme is also excellent. Some sweet remixes came out of it like Soldier of the Underworld, my fave Skull Man remix.

Straight Ahead is not underrated. Everyone loves it, and High Speed Elevator is awesome.

I love Dustman from MM4

Zero's X4 theme.

Catchy though it is, I have a hard time trying to place it above Zero's X1 theme.

Unless Capcom makes a theme more along the lines of "Oh, by the way, this great hero and your best friend is your worst enemy's greatest creation."

Meaning the theme would have to have some Wily stage or boss influences.

Gyro Man's theme, the classic. Second is Slash Man.

Workshop/DA/YT/Photobucket なにかんがえてるの!?
So its about ass now huh? EVEN THE ASS HAS 'EXCEEDED'!

One mention of LEGENDS and everyone goes batshit.  :\

Yep, every time when someone mentions that game people get energized for an apparent reason whatsoever. It's like this everywhere else, trust me.

It got really messy to find my sprite and comic topic, so it's in my sig.

Wily Machine from Mega Man 9, and Final Battle with Rockman Juno from Mega Man Legends demonstrate what final battles should sound like, IMHO .

Top Man (i assume the song is underrated cause he's hated so much for some reason)

Spike Rosered

TopMan is hated? I had no idea >.< his weapon is awesome, his stage is awesome, his music is awesome, as for TopMan himself, he's fun, easy, but still fun.

Spike Rosered, ah, one of the few reasons I play X5, it has such a smashing OST, I'm doubting however that it's Sigma Stage, Shadow Devil Battle, Rangda Bangda W battle and Sigma Final Battle 2 are underrated.
Oh, and X5 has like, the best regular Boss Battle theme ever (X8's comes close).

On X8, Lumine Battle 1, Noah Park Ambience, Final Sigma Battle and Central White, go forth and worship them.

Songs I think are underrated,

Wily stage 3
WEB F*CKING SPIDER (how can you NOT like it!?)
Sigma Battle 1(the dark, less upbeat one) (X4)
Supreme Ruler (?)gba (#1 favorite music theme, alltime since '03)
Magnetic Rumble gba
The Last -The Wish Punished- RTRZ
Cool Hearted Fellow RTRZ&gba
Volcano RTRZ&gba
Max Heat RTRZ&gba
Blaze Down RTRZ&gba
Sky High -Grand Nuage- nds
Pallida Mors ZXT
Snake Eyes nds
Phalanx nds
Last Battle (vs Andromeda) (personal #3 favorite final battle theme ever)
Confrontation with a God (#4, <3 Yoshino Aoki)

I'm still leaving out a horde of track but this should cover the most prominent in my eyes, not sure if all are underrated, but I don't hear people often about these awesome tracks.

Personally, I'm a sucker for Eurobeat, drumrolls and breakbeat, so things like Spark Mandriller, Gate Stages, Supreme Ruler, Last Battle and Cool Hearted Fellow naturally make me feel all fuzzy inside.
Oh and 8bit music also does wonders, tho I've come to find that unless someone a gamer, they tend to call it "not music", and loathe it....hell I even have a couple of gamer friends that call it "not music", so I suppose it just isn't for everyone >.>

Wily Machine from Mega Man 9, and Final Battle with Rockman Juno from Mega Man Legends demonstrate what final battles should sound like, IMHO .

Word, but with adding Sigma X5, Fake, the final battle themes of SSR1~3 and ofcourse RM3 & 4 Wily.

Everything praises of Megaman 3 the Wily Stage 3-4 soundtrack, but must of you forget to mention this unique pearl.

That tune is indeed orgasmic.  I advise anyone who calls themselves any kind of fan of MegaMan music to track down Disco Dan's "Wily Stage 3 - Impendium" remix.  Absolutely divine.

One of my favorite/most underrated BGMs is Straight Ahead, Physis version.  I swear that needs to be Zero's theme music at some point.

I must be unusual in liking the first fortress tune the best, but what I really like is how well the three fortress themes flow into each other, transitioning from a peppy action melody into a grim, foreboding march.

It's underrated 'cuz it can't be loved enough. :P

Alright, alright, I'll dig for the more obscure:  Freebirds, from ZX Gigamix, and the Library theme from Legends 1.  And of course we cannot forget "The Answer" from X6 intro/Soul Eraser commercial.  That song kicks much ass.

It's hard to pick out "underrated" MegaMan themes (besides Legends seeings how the whole damn series is underrated).  The music of the series is pretty well known.
