Hi, just wanted to show you a little game idea i had the other day while i was watching JBK videos, the current version is still too raw, i have implemented many things but i have yet to start program enemies and such, right now im focusing on the basic moves and states.
This is what you can expect in this version:

shot (in all of X basic positions:standingm running,dashing,jumping,while in ladder, while grabing the wall and crouching and even shooting up!!!)
charge shot (up to 3 levels) no sprite armor yet
change player (you can switch to zero by pressing num pad 5) X is the most completed yet because he has way more states than zero, but you can still play with him, i have only implemented a basic ground combo, air slash and a slash while sliding down walls

the life bar is working but there arent any enemies yet, you can also die if you fall into a pit fall

intro stage from x1 and chill penguin (if the background stops that means there are inst more floor)
the default controls are
num pad1 shot
num pad 0 jump
num pad 3 dash

if those doesnt work try A,S,D

Sounds like every other fan game out there.

Ups i didnt notice, i picked the name in a hurry.

Anyway, any comments about the controls???

RockMan X Unlimited? Sorry but that's too close to Phil's fan game, Mega Man Unlimited. Maybe you should try a different name instead. ;)

News on this one:
Play with X or Zero
Added a subweapon for X
Added a change subweapon button
Added a mettaur, 2 bats (respawnables to certain point) and 4 MegaManX turtles
Added the submenu screen with the following
  •    Change Weapon
  •    Change Armor
  •    Skill Equip
  •    Options (you can customize attack dash jump and subweapon keys, the other 2 doesnt work yet)

Added 3 Heart tanks
Added recovery capsules dropped by enemies randomly
Added a Dr Light capsule that gives X a upgrade for its buster (no graphic effect yet but you get the upgrade)

Controls:
A--attack
S-- Jump
D-- dash
Numpad5--Sub weapon
Numpadperiod--change character
ESC or ENTER--Menu screen

X can charge up to 3 levels (unless he gets the upgrade)
X has his X3 version on the Z-saber, but he can only use it while standing still and jumping
Zero has his Z-buster with can only use it while standing still and jumping and can only shot charge shots
He can also charge its saber to shoot his sword (pretty much like in X3 when you have the saber and the arm parts)

Known Bugs:

If you enter the submenu with zero you can still walk around
Sometimes while charging its sword zero will shot just a pellet
You can do a infinite dash with zero if you keep pushing the attack button
You can grab the ladder but you cant climb it to the top

Definitely making progress. The attacks, particular for Zero, aren't very responsive at all.
I also noticed if you press or hold up during a dash jump, that'll let you air dash again. Not sure if thats intentional or not.

Mmm im guessing you mean with zero, but, i couldnt reproduce that bug, are you using flsh player 10? maybe if you have a older version it makes some of the code to run bad...

I meant with X actually on the air dashing bit, though I'm using Flash Player 8.

New version up:

  • Added a spinwall from X2
  • Added a boss door
  • Added a water area, with working water physics and graphic effects (no sound effects yet)
  • added a spintube from X
  • added a change weapon button
  • X and zero no longer share their hp
  • added some sound effects from X7
  • the menu is working now access it with ESC or ENTER
  • Added another capsule for X, this one contains a foot upgrade thatll let you do a backdask by pressing dash+down

Known Bugs:

When you do the back dash with X, if you keep dash pressed you will go back until you let go of it or you hit a wall
Sometimes the menu locks and can only be accessed with zero
If you try to customize the change player button or the change subweapon button you cannot change any other thing on that screen.
Zero dashslash doesnt damage enemies

Haha, I see you got the color thing going.

Anyways, are those the only bugs you found so far? Because I played the game for a minute and found a lot more than just those.

Btw, the game has some huge lag spikes.

yeah thare are more that i forgot to mention (i not a very organized person >_<), like tha ladder, for example, and that sometimes the bullets got past enemies if you shot at them too fast, other is that if you enter the door doing a backdash you will get pushed the opposite way (i havent be able to fix this, i tried i swear), what more?....oh the buster with zero is alittle buggy, some times you try to charge the buster but instead it shows the charge animation for the sword and you dont shot anything, or sometimes you shot just a pellet... maybe i should just leave the sword charge...
there are plenty, but those are bugs caused by the new things im adding, at least the basics moves are done (i think?)... XD

In that case, I think you should work out the bugs before you continue to pile on more of them.
