The red, unpurified GN particles are the pollutive ones. My guess would be that the purified ones are "cleaning" humanity and open the path towards evolution. GN particles apparently don't decay or at least not that fast, otherwise there's no real explaination why Setsuna could hear Marina who was far away. The 0 Gundam also spread GN particles in a wide range like a pair of wings, perhaps Celestial Being's armed interventions were for the sake of uniting mankind and bathe it GN particles so they could "innovate".

Also... wtf, I guess no one is gonna make it to the end of the series.

Oh yes, lots of people are going to die. Maybe secretly Tomino was in charge of 00 the whole time.

Exhausted in the middle of a battle where no one knows when they'll fall, all of a sudden a huge ring of light engulfs the battlefield...

In the midst of the continuing battle, Tieria having successfully infiltrated the enemy mothership, discovers a frightening truth there. Meanwhile, Ptolemaios, entrenched in a defensive battle, exposed to the tireless enemy's attacks, are forced to hold out with inferior numbers. Comrades fall one after another. In order to live up to the light of those lives, Setsuna, and then 00, cries out.[/spoiler]

On a random note, just like with CODE GEASS, Bandai Entertaiment will release the first season of Gundam 00 in part-sets, probably 3 per season. The first part of the series, normal and special edition (why the hell must it be the special edition one that has Lockon as a cover >__> [tornado fang]ing sucks) is currently available for pre-order on Amazon. Release date is May 19th. From the looks of it, unlike Geass, there will be no single DVDs available for purchase.
