I mean, it wouldn't make much sense to make a straight adventure game with those characters, and they're all holding cards in the teaser.

While it certainly does look like they're holding cards, I think it might be more action-adventure. The Poker Game was really only to test their in-house game engine. All other games they have made have been action-adventure.

It's single player. The games about playing poker/hanging out with all of those characters with their personalities intact. There's more dialog in this game than in a Sam & Max episode, both for poker playing and for the ambient conversations that spring up and roll around the table as the game goes on.

A bunch of people are gonna buy this just for the TF2 weapons, and everyone's gonna go stupid over them like the Sam and Max items for trading. This is gonna be a nightmare for anyone who isn't a huge trade buff.
