inb4 ACTA fails in the end.
Considering all the stupid stuff that already happens online, we're definitely going to have protests, if not riots, over it when it gets signed into law.
To top it off, it's practically the poster-child of "Big-brother" with the only other exception of 1984.
*sigh*
So much for Democracy.
Hi, Totalitarianism! But that's a stretch to say we'll evolve into that. I mean, a Capitalist country has no choice but to evolve into a socialist one anyways, just look at the New Deal era and the 60's.
But I'm getting off-topic here, the point is, ACTA won't get anywhere in this country regarding the internet. The internet will continue to stay as it is and even more. Where maybe using an interactive hologram instead of a monitor would be possible in the future, and etc.
Anyways, it isn't that hard to pull off "Big-Brother" on the net anyways, other people do it all the time through facebook stalking and otherwise. Yes, I know, the reference and quote is out of context but it's relevant, no?
tl;dr ACTA isn't going to get far.
