Actually, I think you're all making a bit of a fuss out of something which would never escalate to Skynet proportions.

Imagine this. You're worried somebody will be watching YOU. YOU personally, that people will be watching you to see if you do anything.

What's so [tornado fang]ing special about you? Why would the government want to watch every single person who is online all the time? They'll probably monitor your activity if you go on extremist political websites, or watch pedophile porn, but otherwise, why would they even take up their precious time to check what you're doing? Sure, they may make what's pretty much a profile of you, and everytime your name comes up, your online activity will be known. But besides that? People are placing too much importance on themselves.

[spoiler]on Skype that tried to pirate Heroes of Might and Magic V a couple days ago, now their ISP (Comcast) threatened them with emails and calls that would cut his service off. And he's off in Washington state, USA.

Actually, no. The US has already shot down the offer when it was brought to the table, seeing as how it violates rights to privacy in our own homes.

Very few people actually get that. A few just to be made an example of, but not really alot. If not, half the net population would be arrested or fined.

ACTA is evil.  But until it goes into effect, well never know all of what is involved in it.  But put simply, ACTA is big media and big corporates way to bone every living person on this earth until they bleed, and half the dead people too.
