The group climbed into their quarters before the crawling lightning reached the ground and surrounded what areas were wet from the rainstorm. They wasted no time running towards the entrance, staying within the dry, safe confines of the lobby.
Hierophant noticed that Quickie is still outside, taking just as much thunder as Mewtwo despite the Pokemon having a barrier up to negate the electrical effects of the jolt. He can sense her determination to stay by his side and give him commands that will benefit his tenacity and survival, but worries her continued exposure to the rain and lightning could eventually do her in.
Having only just learned Barthunder, he would have to stay focused on the spell in order to prolong its negation beyond a single lighting strike, meaning he would have to be outside in the pouring rain in order to ensure complete, unhindered contact with the target.
He runs towards the double doors and waits for it to open, then looks towards Genbu and Synthis, "Stand near the thresholds and keep the doors open. Make sure to keep at least one paw planted on the ground outside so any lightning that hits you gets redirected into the soil. I'm going to try and see if I can cast a concentrated Barthunder from inside the lobby."
Synthis and Genbu nod as they ran towards the threshold, Genbu pressing the rock side of his shell against the left threshold while Synthis pressed his shoulder against the other side, feeling the automatic doors banging against them, causing little to no damage due to its slow, gentle pace. Hierophant observed, though upset that he would put them through this torment, before turning his attention to Quickie and pointing his staff towards her.
"Barthunder!"
The orb glows as a yellow beam shoots out and surrounds Quickie, forming a transparent barrier around her.
Ryo watched the situation going on, then the desk behind him as the Nurse Joy manning it had disappeared, most likely to begin transferring the stored Pokemon to another Center for safety measures. He then turns his attention to Posu and Nega, barking and pointing at the computer to which they yipped and saluted before following him over to the computer and searching through their options for a command to keep the automatic doors open indefinitely.
