Giovanni looked to Jenny. "If you try anything, you had better make sure that you make that shot count. Otherwise, relax! It doesn't look good for us when you're acting just as rabid as Mewtwo was! Either shoot the damn beast or calm the hell down. Don't just sit there seething and making us look bad."

He folded his arms in a huff and glared at Mewtwo, all the while hoping that Jenny knew sarcasm when she heard it. The last thing he needed was for the woman to actually pull her gun and attempt to kill Mewtwo right there.

Officer Jenny liked the idea of shooting Mewtwo down, but she could still discern sarcasm. She eased herself into her chair, still hissing lightly. Payne had since recovered, and is awaiting Mewtwo's latest testimony.

The Judge took notice of Jenny's look of contempt and anger on her face.

"Is Officer Jenny... hissing?" He asked with a concerned and slightly worried tone in his voice.

Mewtwo ignored Jenny's hissing and nodded to Phoenix. "Yes. The incident in Fuchsia." He paused to collect his thoughts. "We had stopped in Fuchsia after the incident in Stone Town, after I had once again escaped from Team Rocket. During that time, I was suffering a mild infection due to an implanted tracking device that was removed soon after I had escaped. Also, during that time, I had noticed that Dr. Wily II, one of my surviving creators, had taken on a very unnerving persona. As I was studying archived files of not only my creation, but his other projects, I noticed what had sealed that persona away and I knew what I had to do in order to lock it away once more."

He paused again to give the overworked stenographers some time to catch up. "When presented with the opportunity, with Wily's former persona at the forefront, I confronted him. He begged me to help him, so I did. I focused all of my energy into a Disabling attack. The resulting explosion leveled the surrounding city block."

Payne turned to look in the directed direction, and noticed a rather old man, with unique hairstyle. Turning towards Giovanni, and confirming with him, Payne continued.

"So, Dr. Wily II... A former scientist with Rocket Industries... He was one of your creators. You said he exhibited disturbing personality traits. You even looked through classified data. And you said he was the one who told you to do whatever you did. Seems very one-sided to me."

"Is there a question in all of this?" Mewtwo folded his arms.

Giovanni looked shocked. "Is it serious? What does it think it is?"

Domino almost facepalmed. "He's been studying..."

Quickie also seemed surprised. She leaned in to speak to Maya. "Either he's probing my mind or Wright's, but I didn't teach him any of this..."

Mewtwo thought for a moment. "I cannot account for other witnesses. There were others who were witness to the event itself, as the area was public, but I cannot be certain if they heard the dialogue exchange between us. You would need to survey those who were present during the event."

"So... In other words... No definitive witnesses. Just like I thought. The doctor never asked you, did he. YOU did it on your own accord!! There was no bipolar syndrome... YOU mind bended his will!!"

Mewtwo fixed Payne in his glare. "And I suppose you have proof with which to back up your claims? Or are you merely making wild accusations and twisting my words? I said what I said. You heard what you heard. Rather than derail this testimony any further with your incessant outbursts, shall we continue with the questioning?"

Giovanni snapped his glare to Payne. "Don't let that beast order you around! Who the hell does it think it is?! It's gotten a bit too smart for its own good, don't you think? Before you know it, it will be using every attorney's trick in the book that it hasn't even read!"

"G-get this straight Mewtwo, you are a witness, not the defence attorney in this hearing. Y-you will only answer our questions and just that! No attorney wisecracks!"

Breathing deeply, and calming down slightly...

"Fine, have Dr. Wily II take the stand.

Mewtwo stepped off the stand and deliberately took a sharp step toward Payne just to watch the man flinch, before turning and heading back to his seat.

The warden nodded as Mewtwo returned to his seat. "You did good up there, but throttle back the haughtiness. You don't need to represent yourself, you've got Wright on your side, so let him handle the crap, okay?"

Mewtwo nodded and sat. "His attitude irritated me. After scanning his and Wright's minds, I felt that--"

"Ssh!" The warden shushed him and looked around, hoping no one else caught on. "Don't be talking about that! Look, we all know you're psychic, but don't be scanning everyone's brains, let alone talking about it. You want to throw yourself and your case under the bus?"

Mewtwo raised an eyebrow as the idiom was lost on him.

"Those are not hypothetical tangents! I'm the word of the jury, any juror would have made that connection, even subconsciously!"

As Payne tried to sit back into his seat, Mewtwo's passing glare as it went back to its holding area, caused Payne to flinch, resulting in him knocking the back of his head against the head rest of his chair. One owwie, and a rub.

Giovanni took a long swallow of his always hot bottomless coffee. "The only subconscious connections being made around here are the ones Mewtwo's making by reading our minds. There is no way that it got that comfortable with due process that quickly. They should have left it at the Institute, let Yeung play around with it all he wants."

Payne panicked at Giovanni's words, causing the pain to intensify, and more rubbing.

"You're saying it was playing inside my head!? No wonder it felt like it was Phoenix Wright!!"
