[Dr. Wily II]

Dr. Wily II grimaced at the prosecution using his incident with Mewtwo back at Fuschia City to their advantage. Deep inside, rage and anger began to well up, causing his chest to act up again. Taking deep breaths, Dr. Wily II tried to calm himself down... It's all up to Phoenix Wright now.

[Phi]

(One quick one...)

"One final thing, Your Honour. I mentioned earlier that we were roped in for the Fuschia investigation as well, and from eye witness reports, Mewtwo was seen using his psychic prowess on an old man. An old defenceless man."

"And with that, Your Honour, Mewtwo should be returned for proper treatment. To think an old man was subjected to such... I hope Your Honour agrees with me."

"... I'm an old man, AND DEFENCELESS!" The Judge's forehead scrunched and he shook his head with much disapproval.

"No, no, this is simply not okay. We can't have old men being tormented willy-nilly!" He lightly patted his brow with his handkerchief.

"Okay, the witness has made her observations very... clear. Mr. Wright, are you ready to begin your Cross-Examination?" The Judge asked.

(Oh my...Have you all been waiting on me? ^^; )

"I am ready, Your Honor," Phoenix said. Well...let's try to make something out of this...

[Dr. Wily II]

(I'm interested how the cross-examination will be done here. )

[Phi]

The Judge nodded. "Very well, let's begin the Cross-Examination."

[Quickman]

Maya looked to Phoenix.  "Look for contradictions."

"And press everything," Quickie muttered.

Unnoticed by the wardens, Mewtwo scratched at the muzzle some more, loosening the straps.  He tugged at the cuffs and then brought his attention back to the courtroom.

(I'm interested how the cross-examination will be done here. )

(Well, I was just gonna do it like it runs in the games, sans hints though ;~; )

Phoenix rubbed his chin. "What kind of actions did Mewtwo allegedly take on the old man?"

[Dr. Wily II]

Officer Jenny jumped at the sudden exclamation.

"From eyewitness reports, they saw Mewtwo raise one of its hands, and aimed its palm at the old man's head. Soon after, a powerful shockwave was generated, resulting in the old man flying into a nearby wall. That's classic mind manipulation if you ask me."

Phoenix was on a roll, finding plenty of clues to use in the case.

Phoenix examines the Pokemon Center records. (Is there anything in them that has notes on PP usage before/after and such-and-such?)

(The only thing I see that you can do is call Wily II as a witness since he was that old man that Mewtwo performed Disable on.)

(Phoenix is supposed to be interrogating Jenny next, then call the next witness.  At least...that's what I assume watching several episodes of Law & Order.

Also PP usage is almost non-existent.  Perhaps we can compare it to stamina since doing the same moves without rest can wear you down eventually)

(Well, Phoenix has to make Jenny snap first before any new witnesses are summoned... )

(What moves can effect the mind besides hypnosis?)

(Well... Hypnosis... Disable... Confusion... Hell, perhaps Psywave...)

(The ones that Mewtwo can possibly learn that hit other opponents are Confusion, Swagger, Disable, Signal Beam by Move Tutor, Water Pulse and Nightmare in Gen 3 and 4.  Could this help?)

(Already found a contradiction.  Mewtwo used both hands. But, only Mewtwo and Wily would know that.)

(As for Pokemon Center records, Mewtwo ended up utterly exhausted and already fighting off an illness from earlier.  So, the records would definitely note that he spent some time resting afterward.)

(Man cross examinations are difficult without being able to call witnesses. )

(Just snap Jenny. It's easy. )

(The problem is what can Phoenix say that contradicts her and makes her snap?)

(... Hmm... He could bounce back to the accusation that Mewtwo used his psychic abilities to project a Shiny image. Phoenix should have the report from good Jenny about the Tarot card findings... Which can then lead to Tarot Cat taking the stand...?)

(That could work plus I don't see anything saying that Mewtwo can produce illusions, only Zoura and Zoroark can.)

(Considering how bias Bitchy Jenny is, she could believe anything that pops into her short-tempered mind )

(He just needs her to snap really and mentioning the cards again should be enough, especially, from what I know about Phoenix Wright, super natural elements are somewhat present in the games so he's not exactly a stranger to them.)
