I know I don't have an addiction, I only use the internet so I can be a bit more street smart and learn things that school can't teach me.
You know, I actually remember life before the internet and cellphones.
I remember a time when people weren't texting all the time, that to me is an addiction that seems rediculous to me. I mean I got a cell phone in the 6th grade so that way my mom could inform me that she was going to be late picking me up and because that was when I started having after school activities so I have to be able to call her if something was canceled or if it was an emergency.
But now people are taking advantage of this technology by texting their friends from other classrooms. Honestly is there really a point in doing that, especially since you're wasting your parents money. Sure texting is cheap and there are plans to save money but really is it worth having your own child texting more than 1000 times a month while they're in class? Yes texting is covenient, especially if you're in business, but during school it's just an annoyance to me. I mean to me texting was a precusor to Twitter which I also think is a waste of time from what I've heard.
