Of note for anybody who doesn't already have it, buying Castle of Illusion nets you the original Sega Genesis version as well until the 29th, Its also free for PS+.

Yeah, and that's only one of many great free games that PS+ offers.

Like I said it's not a bad service or anything but I mostly ended up downloading a few PSX games like FF7, Legend of Dragoon, Parasite Eve, and ICO Although I did buy Deception IV Bloodties through it. It's mostly a money thing right now; not sure I can afford little things like this right now.

I guess its more that I don't really use the features of it that much, I dislike digital copies of retail games so the Instant Game Collection thing loses its value to me right there and the whole "You lose the ability to play the games/use the DLC you got through PS+ when the service runs out" thing sort of gets me the wrong way.

Actually, if you pay for the games, you keep them forever. However, if you get it free, you lose it when the membership expires.

As for preferring physical over digital, I can definitely understand that. I do, as well. I guess I just don't mind, is all.

Well yeah that's what I meant, if you get a game with a discount its good forever but if its free it's gone with your membership once it expires.

Main issues with the Digital stuff is a lot of fear of not being able to play games in the future and not really owning them. Also because holy [tornado fang] is the PS3 wireless bad it takes forever to download and it takes forever to install as well.

Downloads don't take too long for me. Not unless it's over like 6GB or something. And in that time, I just find something else to do.

Also, installation is the shortest process; only lasting about 5-6 minutes.

PS+ is good for me because while I do prefer physical over digital like you, most of the games I get for free from the service I probably wouldn't have bothered with otherwise.

Plus I don't mind losing them when the subscription expires because, well, that's not going to happen anytime soon. When I eventually move onto to the PS4 I'm going to need the subscription to play online anyway.

Its more of being unable to do anything else while something is installing. Downloads don't take long unless they're big but most of the stuff I have is big (inFamous 2 is 15 GB, for example.)

Recently got Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams as a gift on Steam. Midnight City has also brought us WayForward's BloodRayne: Betrayal on Steam. Nyu Media has also rolled out RefleX a while ago (was already available via DESURA and direct from Nyu Media), and just yesterday, Cröixleur Σ on Steam (also available on DESURA minus the Steam-integrated features).

I should fix that so it auto-renews a cheaper subscription.

Also, Atlus love this week as both Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne and Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha Vs. The Soulless Army released today on PSN.

Not sure if Nocturne is still the version that has Dante in it or not.

I would assume so, if that's the only version released in English.

It was, and that is the version up on PSN apparently but its not always obvious if a game with a guest character from another company will keep that cameo in later re-releases. A third JP release apparently dumped Dante in favor of Raidou Kuzunoha because obviously that's their own character.

Though I think Sony has some sort of policy in place that only allows PS1/PS2 games to be put up if they're unmodified from the original releases. Which is a big reason why Megaman Legends is never hitting the store.
