Of the things I wish I could get, I'd probably go for some of the Nyu Media's games (ETHER VAPOR Remaster, eXceed Collection, Cheery Tree High Comedy Club to name a few), and RE Revelations, DMC3, DMC4, and Lost Planet Colonies Edition. Already got Dead Rising 2 for free on Xbox 360.

I'm saying its not really a big [tornado fang]ing deal, Ikaruga has been emulatable for ages, so the fact that its getting an official PC release, while neat and all, is nothing to make a spectacle post of.

When I met Reggie on Thursday night, he was pretty receptive to our ideas. I even brought up that we need more Virtual Console titles (mostly on Wii U, since I couldn't think of anything). He asked what games I'd like to see.

All I could think of was FF6 and Secret of Mana (since those are on the JP eShop right now). Also I asked about the DKC trilogy since those were pulled from the Wii VC, seeing if they were being repurposed as Wii U VC titles. He wasn't able to say much but eh.

But that sucks that there was no official reason for the removal of the DKC.

Also for those who are worried that these are just LET'S ADD 3D DEPTH TO OLD GAMES YAY, don't worry. There's more to these than meets the eye.

Take, for example, what 3D Streets of Rage offers.

3D Streets of Rage will feature fully remapping options for the controls, a CRT-like filter for the image, sound options, save states, level select, stereoscopic 3D graphics, both the Japanese or overseas version of the game to choose whom you would like to play, and a unique new feature.
This time, it’s one-hit deathblow mode, a new option where you can defeat the enemies with only one hit, giving a new pace to the game who will make it easer to less experienced players. Also, there is local co-op multiplayer available, so if you and a friend have a Nintendo 3DS and a copy of the game each, you can play together this classic beat-em up.

It reminds of how the new XBLA compilation of Streets of Rage brought the series with some of those features (access to the Japanese and overseas version, sound test, and re-mappable buttons). I'll be sure to add these games to my wishlist if I ever get a 3DS.

I've heard good things about some of these (Galaxy Force II and Streets of Rage) and eh reactions on Sonic 1 (Considering it's hot on the heels of the excellent iOS remake.) and Altered Beast.

I'll pick up some of them no doubt but it'll definitely be a case-by-case thing.
