...incredibly enough, I seem to be the only one here who cares about anything even remotely non-japanese.

With me, it's not so much that I don't care for anything not Japanese, it's just that nothing there really popped out at me save for MG:Rising's slick style (and even then, I didn't get to see any of the prior footage before that one instance of combat and the watermelon thing). Halo, I've never really been a hardcore fan for, although I know the games are well done, Gears of War is/has always been too friggin' gory for me (I really can't stomach excessive gore), and the Call of Duty showed there was not only a bit unimpressive after Modern Warfare's showing last year even, but it also seems like it's much too soon for it. There';s also the fact that it's Activision and [tornado fang] Activision for what they did to those IW employees. [tornado fang] them hard.

Also that ESPN move is [tornado fang]ing intelligent as hell.

...aside from hype, all we got was a guy cutting stuff, honestly. =P We KNOW the game is going to be good, but cutting stuff like this has been in games for awhile now. Hell, Afro Samurai had it to some degree. You just couldn't choose the angle directly.

The Kinect is... lack luster. Kinectimals looked like an awkward Hey You Pikachu and nothing else really stood out. Yeah, not the target audience, but you could hear the audience's deadness.

Rising looked neat, but they banked their biggest load on Kinect. Everything else was playing it safe. The new Xbox is neat, but at $300 (the "new" elite) I don't know. The current 360s are also getting a $50 reduction. Not bad.

Of course, Microsoft is still being mum about the price of Kinect. Very interesting when we have a date.

Graphics, effects, environments, space combat, impressively animated enemies with individual attackable limbs that change the way you fight them, impressive weapons...

The MGS saga is probably my favorite current saga in gaming, but I have to admit, that was just a simple teaser that showed Raiden cutting stuff with a camera that stands too close to him to work reasonably in a full action game. But I guess we'll see.
