Hook it up to your monitor or something.
Don't have one. Are monitors cheaper than TV sets?

The game is too fun. Hours easily lost. My customizations are too good. ;)

Much cheaper. I just got a HD LED monitor, with a 1920x1080 resolution, for quite cheap.

I'm waiting till I beat more of Career Mode to unlock stuff, before I venture into full on fun mods.  Some of those challenges are evil though.

Oh, and I dreamt in ModNation Racer form last night, which is a sign that I [tornado fang]ing love this game, which I do.

I have full plans on getting my mits on this game ASAP.

I've gotten to the point in MKW where i've gotten just a "tad" too good at the game and it's rare that i find anybody who can beat me, not saying i can't find said people, but it's rare.

I'm hoping that Modnation with it's Diddy Kong Racing like weapon system will treat me.

PB- Yes. EVIL! Especially the get higher points. :/

Rayl- This is no MKW. This is *explodes* M.R.C. (inside game joke)
This is more like CTR my friend.

That one 4000 Airtime Points one was just brutal.  Not only is it hard to get, but the vicious AI goes out of it's way to stop you.

Try doing the get 150,000 drift points AND get 1st place. The letters MRC are now forever engraved in my mind from the attempts. ;O;

What's the one game you'd compare the most with this one in terms of gameplay?

I find drift points easy.  But the ones like the one I mentioned, plus the "DON'T HIT A WALL" one can be taxing.

I think it's a great combination of Mario Kart + Sonic & Sega All Stars handling.

Crash Team? I didn't get that impression from the demo.

Asking the topic maker, who told me a very different game, if you noticed.

You mean snaking as an easy to do mechanic that doesn't make players better or worse than others?

Does this game have various engine classes like Mario Kart? If so, how many?

There is no snaking. Instead drifting building up your meter, and then you can boost.  Like I said though, a lot of times you need to be careful not to waste your meter or not, cause shields become VERY important.

I don't think so.

So this means there is no automatic boost after drifting?

Didn't notice you mentioning his name other than stating the word "you" in your sentence. Considering it's right below my post what do you think the impression given is? Let's not bump heads here compadre.

Games tonight ? I'm sure you want to show your hot rods and customs. (Directed towards everybody)

Pretty much the whole topic is people asking him stuff about the game. Thought it was evident.

Not really since that's what it turned to despite creating a topic based on the game as a whole as opposed. Now it's "Ask Dr. Mod" (has a nice ring right PB? lol)
Let's  keep everyone's interest in check. We need more MRC'ers out there. ^-^

Rayl- Demo barely touches the surface of it. Playing CTR more than Mario Kart I wouldn't say so.. of course, I haven't played the Sega version.

I asked, got different answers besides yours, was satisfied with them. Can we drop it?

Now, been wondering about this for awhile. Are the items balanced? Any blue shell-like crap? Can anyone here give a small description of the items?

It's been dropped since last post. Thought it was evident.

Attack Items: (based on description, you can determine the balancing)
boost, sonic, missile, and lightning. Each can be upgraded to a third level of power.
A level 1 sonic attack just creates a radius of rings around you that knocks the other opponents off the track.
A level 1 missile just shoots straight ahead causing the car to blow up.
A level 1 boost is just gives a small speed boost.
A level 1 lightning is a straight forward bolt that zaps the enemy in it's place.

Posted on: June 11, 2010, 10:15:51 PM
A level 2 sonic attack throws out giant spikes ice balls(?) that hurt those in front of your viewing radius however the actual spikes have to hit. (which are about 4)
A level 2 rocket is a homing missile that tracks the person in front of you.
A level 2 boost is a hyper boost that lasts longer than the first.
A level 2 lightning is just like a homing missile only it stuns them upon hit as opposed to exploding.

Posted on: June 11, 2010, 10:31:37 PM
A level 3 sonic attack is a huge shockwave that hits everyone that starts from your location to wherever the first place is. Doesn't hit all at once.
A level 3 rocket is a serious of homing missiles that hit the first 3 placers (based on MY experience)
A level 3 boost aka " The warp" creates a rift in space that covers a 1/5 of a distance track wise and is used to immediately gain up in place. Good for last minute wins.
Finnaly a level 3 lightning is just like.... Mario kart's lightning attack only you don't shrink and you're paralyzed for a few seconds.

If that level 3 rocket one really does what you say, it can be some major bullshit. How do you level up the weapons?
