The Official English Mega Man ZX manga

OK, this manga was suppose to come out March 29th, then it was pushed back to April 28th and then last time for May 7th (IIRC) and it still hasn't hit stores yet and it's near the end of the month. The second volume is due July 2010 soon so the first volume should be out soon, but it's being delayed.

Does anyone know any news of why it hasn't been released yet and is there anyone who's going to buy this when it comes out? I've pre-order and waiting patiently for this to come out, but I haven't anything about it as of late.

I heard the Megamix Volumes are getting delayed as well.

I wish they gave us some explanation why it's being delayed.

E-mailing UDON probably won't help. I tried, back when MM/XOCW was getting delayed--didn't work.

Of course, it'd be nice if any of my local bookstores actually carried the damn things...

Well, if you read the few posts before I think you will find your answer, cuze I remember that Vol. One is in Amazon but Vol. 2 isn't.

nope don't have one yet sometimes it was available at public libraries cause they ordered new books that's how i got to read rockman megamix in english version of course.

Posted on: June 14, 2010, 04:04:09 AMOK, I finally got it! I don't understand that I receive other e-mails from my bookstores except for when the book I order arrives.

They mention they sent me a e-mail on the 11th, but I'll have to check.

So the next volume is this month and the final one? Looking forward to it. Anyway did Vent flirt with Prairie in the fan-translation of the MMZX manga? 'Cause above Prairie when Vent is talking to her, asking her, her age and what school she goes to is "Flirt". Just caught my eye.

I like how the characters were done and the translations are very nice, though the Hivolt dialogue about thunder and electric comment seemed strange. I'm guessing Vent though he can shoot off electric by using his hands and didn't think his whole body was powered by electric, which is strange still.

I wonder if the ZX Advent manga will come over here as well?

It also said that this was out in April...so yeah, I wouldn't get my hopes up for the second volume being out sometime soon.

While the ZXA manga was serialized in whatever monthly magazine it got published in, I don't think it was ever compiled into an actual manga in Japan. So if they don't have it in book form, I don't think there's any chance of it making it Stateside first. I think Ogino still drew the ZXA one, so perhaps good sales of Udon's translation could help that cause. But I wouldn't get your hopes up. But since you made mention of it, it might be a good question to ask Matt Moylan at TMMN. I might actually do that...

Please do.  I for one am actually a lot more interested in the Advent manga than the ZX manga (mainly for the fact that the ZX manga makes no effort to bridge the gap between the two players, something even pre-release anime clips at least attempted; and of course Model A's perv antics are always a plus).

Megaman ZX Volume 2 - Barnes and Noble


This seems like the correct release date for MMZX volume 2. Anyone going to pre-order?

You know, while I like the art in the ZX manga, and I can understand that they're respecting the source material, I think maybe they should take at least some liberty with the story.  So far it's almost been like I'm just reading the game.  It wouldn't hurt to throw in some original material.  What I like about Megamix is how different it is from the games while still being very loyal to the core concept.

Speaking of which the release date for the ZX Manga volume 2 and Megamix volume 2 has been delayed to September 8th and this time it seems solid.

Apparently it got pushed back to September 21, since I went to reserve it a few weeks ago, so I'm going to check if it came out today. Maybe or by tomorrow.
