Well:
R-Soldier type Z

Looks ok but lacks animations, an enemy like that I would expect it to run and jump after the player.

R-Soldier type X


This one looks weird, I guess the proportions are off.

They're very nice, but there are some areas where I know you could do a bit better in. Also I wouldn't frankensprite from better known enemies/ride armor.



...I have a bit of a gattling gun obsession...

This one looks nice but seems very easy, the player might not even have to duck to dodge his attacks.

EDIT: New Scrapyard Enemy. Record time for 16 bit.

Its asymetrical, as this one doesn't turn. It isn't meant to be combat based, just fires weak missiles to push things out of the way on its way to the compacting area.

I like this one a lot, another good frankensprite.
What about another one for a sub boss for the junk yard area preferable a huge one.

I forgot to put WIP on the Gattling Gunner, he'll have arms. He was also supposed to have homing missile pods on his back, but I may cut that out...

As for the Junkyard Miniboss, I'm considering starting over...

Sotty but that one doens't look too good. What something that can shoot also and please don't use the green mini boxx from MMX.

Gave R-Soldier some new moves:


Looking better, but 4th row animation looks incomplete, the blade needs to swing more. The last one looks promissing but I'll have to check how well it is animated.

Yeah, I'm not using my usual computer, so I don't have as many sprites at my disposal, nor am I very comfy. Also this trackpad is jerky (yes, normally use a trackpad to sprite. A freak of nature I am). I'll redo it completely, it is by no means my best or even decent work.

...I probably should've remembered not to use that miniboss...

Oh, and the last row is a ripoff of Agile from X2, it should look similar if not the same.

Beaten up keiang's (hope you don't mind dude) little miniboss further (as a mere example of what I can do for the junkyard area of the game), and I'll see what I can do with my own ver. of Junkyard enemies. I'd love to do something like a graveyard collection of enemies too.

What about the Junkbot Fortress boss from X3, the one with a mechanical arm for a nose.  Give him some new body parts and a different attack pattern.

Gaia, I'm restarting. It didn't look too good, and I used the green miniboss from Sting Chameleon's Stage (which is also in the game by itself, so its a bad idea). Your edits were great, but I don't think I'm using the same design.

Also I've hit a sort of creative dry spot; all I can think of is a giant junk snake, but I also feel thats too cliche.

Very crappy rough draft. Still needs jaw and giant lazer cannon. Would appreciate if Gaia would beat it up more. Will also switch ice attracting robot to rock attracting variant for color purposes (ice =/= dark blue).

Finished and added variant. Arm poses may not be needed. Need to stop talking in sentence fragments. Again.

Huh you know... Seeing how bosses explode (a huge damn clusterfuck of explosions) it's a miracle there are any parts left.

X/Zero should both be dead. in X5 they explode after you beat them, but miraculously, they dont blow to smithereens like all the others.
