Wizardry 6: Bane of the Cosmic Forge

With the following party members, each with their own custom-edited in-game portrait:

- Bossk: Lizardman Fighter
- IG-88: Mook Fighter
- Greedo: Hobbit Thief
- Dengar: Human Ranger
- 4-LOM: Felpurr Bard
- Zuckuss: Faerie Alchemist

The party members are currently at Level 3, with Dengar and 4-LOM just starting to learn spells (Rangers using the Alchemist spellbook and Bards using the Mage spellbook).  Zuckuss learned new spells at Level 2 and can now cast up to seven spells per battle as his stamina drops like a stone.  Greedo has successfully disarmed two traps and picked two locks.  Dengar utterly sucks ass with arrows, so he spends battles building up his ninjitsu by hiding.  Bossk has all the personality and charisma of a rock and can break doors down.  IG-88 can't hit anything if his life depended on it.

Yeah, they suck.  But the game's fun.  And I cheer when they hit something.  And that should help to explain the origin of this sketch that I posted in my thread yesterday.

Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey

I'm liking it better than Nocturne so far, and man do I like Nocturne. On that subject, 2nd area is... /disturbing/. Lusty demons and their experiments[WE DRILLED A GUY THROUGH THE HEAD AND A LIQUID THING CAME OUT. WE CONCLUDE HUMANS NEED BRAINS TO LIVE, DERP] and whatnot.

Greedo is now a level 4 Trickster thief in Wizardry 6.  Though, sadly, he still could not drink Captain Matey under the table.  Yet.

Finish playing Cooking Mama. Now starting to play Cooking Mama 2.

Bossk and IG-88 are at level 4 with the rank of Warrior.  And since Greedo couldn't drink Captain Matey under the table, we decided to let the others have a go.  Zuckuss lasted four or five drinks before he hit the floor, Dengar downed seven or eight and was on his ass, and Bossk bolted ten and was still good to go.  Captain Matey, on the other hand, went down.

Oddly, though, even if you do best Captain Matey in the drinking contest, if you try to enter that room again, he'll challenge you.  So, we think we gotta fight him.

Bouncing back and forth between Foto Showdown, which is a DSi exclusive, and Dragon Quest 9.

Foto Showdown's pretty fun, a bit more than I had expected. Of course, so far, like most collect-and-battle-type video games (ex: Capcom VS SNK Card Battle, any Yu-Gi-Oh game, and the later pokemon games), the plot has so many holes in it you'd think that it was the victim of a mafia drive-by.

Finished Metroid Fusion again a few nights ago.

Trying to beat Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels via VC. Sweet mercy, I wonder why I torture myself with this game. I must have heard the "Miss" and "Game Over" jingles a billion times. I mean, I've gotten farther than I did when I played the All-Stars remake version years ago, but this game is still punishingly hard!

OutRun 2006 Cost 2 Coast on PS2. Had to start from scratch, but this may very well be one of my favorite arcade-style racers. I just gotta get enough OR Miles to get all my tunes back.

I resumed Super Mario Galaxy last night. Star count is up to 72. Man, some of these are getting really hard but I gotta unlock Luigi. I've gotten each star thus far with out any outside help or a guide. Don't know how long that will last.

Been years since I played Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. I'm going through the game again and it's as fun as ever. Love Yoko Shimomura's music and the battle system.
