[Sapphire Knight]

Bluebeard had gone deep into thought up to this point when some things registered. "Wait... Do I even wanna know who this 'Sedo' was and what they had you doing?" He asked, his eye glow turning a little purple. He pulled out a flintlock and a grenado.

[Black Mage J]

"No, you don't, know lets all just slowly walk towards it..." Alucard whispered, pushing them into a line.

[Blackhook]

(OOC:Actually there are 5 guardians, 2 have been defeated, one escaped, the others are Medusa and Death.)
The monster turned out to be a giant Cobra. It was sleeping with it´s eyes open (as snakes usually sleep).
(OOc: not Medusa, just her pet)

Bluebeard aimed his flintlock right between the snake's eyes, in case it started moving and decided that they were food. On the hand that was holding the grenado, the tip of his thumb seemed to glow red hot to light the fuse. "Well, at least I can still use one of my powers..." He said in a really quiet voice, quickly cooling the thumb off.

[Mirby]

"Snakes... why did it have to be snakes..." Mirby muttered. Alucard looked at her funny, unsure of why she said it. "Oh, it's nothing. Just something from a movie I saw once..." Alucard still looked confused. "Seriously, forget I said anything and let's focus here!"

"Strange... Snakes aren't usually this big."

Ammes was examining the snake as closely as possible without the risk of rousing the snake from its sleep (i.e. probably quite far away).

"So if we kill this thing, we can move on?"

[Blackhook]

The girl wasn´t paying attention to the others. She rushed to the Giant cobra.
"Awww, it´s cute. Hey wanna play with us?"
The girl started patting the snake´s head. Sudenly a glint appeared in the Cobra´s eyes

[Mirby]

"What the- Are you mad, little girl?"

[Blackhook]

The girl turned to Mirby.
"Eh? What do you mean? I mean this snakey was just lying there, not harming anyone..."
The Girl turned back. The Cobra was fully awake and starred at the little girl, hissing.
"Oh, so you wanna play?"
The cobra charged at the girl,  it´s mouth wide open, trying to swallow the girl whole.

[Mirby]

Mirby dashed over and picked up the girl right as the snake was about to eat her. "No, I think it wanted to eat you. Now stay over here!" Mirby was starting to get irritated, and the pendant grew ever warmer...

[Blackhook]

The girl looke inocently at Mirby.
"Huh? It looks more like you scarred it..."

The Snake looked over Mirby and the girl. It was waiting for a chance to attack.

[Mirby]

"I scared it? It was going to eat you! Just because something may look safe doesn't mean it is, especially here! Yeesh... youth these days..."

[Blackhook]

Sudenly the cobra attacked Mirby it blinding speed.

[Mirby]

Mirby noticed and threw her sword up just in time. The cobra bounced of the sword, a nick in one of its fangs. "See, it's dangerous! Stay here! And listen this time!" The pendant continued to warm.

[Blackhook]

" Well, of course it´s dangerous...you made it even more angry!"

The Snake fell to the ground, but it didn´t take long and it launched itself again at the little girl

[Mirby]

"Listen, if you hadn't run up to it in the first place, we wouldn't be in this mess! I'm still not even sure why the hell you're here!" Mirby blocked the snake's attacks while he continued to berate the girl.... probably not the best thing. The pendant started to emit a pale light.

[Sapphire Knight]

Bluebeard superheated his thumb again, this time lighting the grenado's fuse. "Fire in the hole!" He shouted, throwing the grenado at the snake, the explosion being just enough to stun the beast.

[Black Mage J]

Alucard charged the beast, his sword leading the way "Chop it to pieces!" He yelled, throwing himself at it and at the last minute leaping over it, hacking at it's scaly skin.

[Mirby]

The light from the pendant grew in intensity and started to arc towards the little girl.

[Blackhook]

The snake was being hurt by Alucard. It started swinging it´s tail widly. The girl was looking at the light comming from Mirby. She didn´t pay attention to the snake, which proved as a fatal mistake...She was struck by the giant cobra´s tail!

[Mirby]

Just as the girl started flying, the light grew to pure white and enveloped her completely in a protective sphere.

[Black Mage J]

"Mirby you never told me you could cast magic!" Alucard tackled the monster down, slashing at it's underside.

[Mirby]

"I can't! It's this pendant!"

[Black Mage J]

"Pendant?" Alucard stopped his feet, coming to Mirby's side and inspecting the pendant, when he tried to touch it, he was sent with a jolt of power.
"One strong pendant, Mirby."

[Mirby]

"I'll explain it later. Let's destroy this thing!"
