I'm like the only guy who posts normal music whenever he comes to this thread.

Are you implying that video game and anime music don't qualify as "normal" music?

And anyway, I posted something "normal" before:

Seriously the sound effects are the best part of the old Gundam openings.
Current playthrough: Chrono Trigger and God Eater Ressurection

I don't get why so many people hated Wing.

I liked it.

I know Ruri hated it and preferred G Gundam.  Of course Victory is his favorite I think.

Turn A is his favorite Gundam, if I recall.

Yeah, that's another amazing one.

I remember immediately searching for the full song when I first saw the opening. XD

Ah right I forgot about that for a second there.  I think that is his favorite too, I just know Victory is high up there.

How is 00 as a Gundam anime?

I liked 00. The mech designs were awesome, and the story was decent as well. The final movie was kinda meh though.

I don't really watch anime movies a lot anyway. :\

Well the problem with anime movies is the same problem with most Japanese movies to begin with.

They have NO idea how to end it.

That's mostly the case if the movie is continuing where the anime series left off.

However, the Ghibli films (Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Howl's Moving Castle, etc.) are each their own story and end neatly and perfectly. There are a few other companies that do the same.

The thing is that the majority of anime films tie into its corresponding series, which makes the overall plotline somewhat limited, as there is only so much time and story to fit into a movie.

But if it's a singular plot, belonging only to THAT movie, it should be fine.

Protoman Blues

The Ghibli films are the exception most of the time. But even they can just suddenly & abruptly end things with little to no epilogue of sorts.

Phi

Yeah, I'll admit they aren't perfect in that regard, but sometimes they don't need a proper epilogue.

Spirited Away, for example, ends with Chihiro breaking her parents' curse, and returning back to their car. As they drive away, the father asks her if she's ready for her life in the new city/home and she replies confidently, "Yeah, I think I can handle it."

That one line shows a complete parallel of her pessimistic and apathetic outlook towards moving to a new city in the beginning of the film. The journey into the spirit world changed her in the end. Thus, the message of the film is wrapped up and doesn't need further story.

But then there's Whisper of the Heart, which has one of the worst endings I've seen. Thankfully, their other films don't end as badly as that.

Fxeni

I'm fond of this ED for Gundam 00, personally.

I liked most of the soundtrack for it to be honest. I liked the series in general too... although that movie. Hmm.

Protoman Blues

Yeah, the movie is my only real issue with 00.

Although "Indiscriminate Firing" is an awesome [tornado fang]ing attack name/move in that movie!

Blue Valkyrie

I couldn't finish 00's second season let alone the movie, if just didn't engage me at all. I mean I like occasionally watching the battle clips on their own but yeah---that being said Exia vs 0 Gundam, one of my favorite battles in gundam, short and sweet.  XD
