Just got the chance to watch episode 16. Pretty good episode, more story is always a good thing, and it's fun watching Dio get owned. Ep 17's RAW is out already, if only the translators didn't take almost a week to get the episode out >__<

The series has been remade, completely discarding the continuity presented in the original Neo-Human Casshern anime series, in which Casshern was a cybernetic superhero battling the evil robotic forces of Braiking Boss in a post-apocalyptic Earth. Instead, in Casshern Sins, Casshern is presented as a cyborg subordinate of Braiking Boss who was ordered to assassinate the savior of mankind, and has thus doomed the Earth to ruin.

They were fully open about it since befor production that ths wasn't going to be any sort of sequal or retelling of the original. Just uses a few of the same characters for an original story. Similar to Tekkaman Blade.
