Deciding that Enigma's dexteral accuracy with the sword was "passable" - this result was aided by four near-decapitations, which the mentor decided he could do without - Deathwatch moved onto the next round of training. Having allowed Enigma to remove the blindfold, he brought the lad to a crevasse filled with what seemed like bubbling, sizzling liquid fire. A path of small stone discs bridged the way across, where Deathwatch was waiting.
"Your next test," he explained to his submissive student, "Is to cross the gap without falling into the lava. If you so much as allow one toe to touch the fiery pool, you will fail the test. Understood?"
Enigma nodded. "So I just have to hop across these stone platforms? That doesn't sound too hard..."
"Have I neglected to mention the pendulum scythes, lava-dwelling skeleton sharks and cannonballs that will be shot at you?"
Enigma hung his head down low and let out a slight groan.
