an old Paramount theatre a few miles down my street in St. George SI. (Near the ferry. My home is near the Verrazano AKA the opposite side, really.)

SI is FULL of old abandoned places. Hell, even one of the Expressways has an abandoned interchange running over it that was never used. (Gotta somehow manage to get on it and take pictures some time. I love driving past/under it. So mysteeeeerioooous. Plus part of one of the paths is built straight into the mountain.)

FunFact: back in the day, rich people would come to Staten Island to live for the summer, like a resort or something.
