Holy [parasitic bomb].

Funfacts about SMB3:

- Nintendo licensed an entire movie, "The Wizard", to hype the population for it's upcoming release. In said movie, they hinted at a way to warp between massive sections of the game.
- Prior to this generation, it was the single highest selling video game not bundled with a console ever.
- The entire game is a play. Think about it for a second. (Mind blown yet?)
- There are 3 warp whistles in the game.
- The "God Mode" hammer suit can only be worn one at a time. You can only get a hammer suit in worlds 6 & 7 at certain Toad's Houses.
- Kuribo's Shoe was only available in one level. It is still the best powerup ever. XD

Now then, to take this thread in another direction, what were my fellow RPMers doing 20 years ago?

I was 5 months old. XD

I wasn't born yet. By the time I first got to play it. It was on the SNES Super Mario All-Stars.

I didn't play the original NES version until 2-3 years ago.

I remember how cool and original the ... Panoocio? Statue-racoon-suit, was. And the shoe. And the hammer suit. And the jumping biting flower things. And the ice world (lol hindsight) with all its frozen enemies just waiting to be thawed so they could bite you. And the supersized enemies of world 5. And the tanks and airship armadas in world 8.
I also remember being bewildered by the simplest of puzzles, I think I got through them by sheer random luck in which doors I skipped.

20?

I was 2 maybe. Can't remember.

Workshop/DA/YT/Photobucket なにかんがえてるの!?
So its about ass now huh? EVEN THE ASS HAS 'EXCEEDED'!

One mention of LEGENDS and everyone goes batshit.  :\

Yep, every time when someone mentions that game people get energized for an apparent reason whatsoever. It's like this everywhere else, trust me.

It got really messy to find my sprite and comic topic, so it's in my sig.

I was 7 at the time. I had just beat the original and the second one was not available, so my mom got me three. I loved how many extra men you could stack up it that game. Note: I didn't really notice how much better the graphics were. Weird how nobdy cared about that stuff back then. :)

I was 2 years old.  Pissing and crappin' mah diapers.

but man, I remember watching my brother play through this so many times and all the little tricks w/ the game's mechanics he learned by himself which is now, common knowledge to most SMB3 experts.

Even now, he can go through SMB3 in one day.  And he still loves it, hehe~
