When you refight the Elite 4, the Champion is no longer Belle and has been replaced by Gogeta some douche called Adeku.

It's nice to have your rival be the champion again, but HOLY [tornado fang]ing [parasitic bomb] at that level jump from E4 to champion o___O

They have images of the Elite 4, but not of the 8 Gym Leaders... Grr...

Politoed gets Drizzle...yeah, that's gonna be the biggest jump in tiers ever.

Now there's a nice reason to recapture the oldies.  I'm liking a lot of what I see, particularly for Ninetails (Drought, whoo-hoo!), and the fact that RBY/GSC legendaries have something other than F*@#!ING PRESSURE.

Now if only I knew what those new abilities were for Mewtwo and Dragonite...

I'm just curious, does anyone know exactly HOW the Dream World works? I read something about a "Global Link" account on Serebii, which makes me wonder if requires the use of a personal computer. I'm a Mac user, and Nintendo hasn't shown much love for us. (Thinking about the Wi-Fi dongle.)

This honestly has me rather curious as to how the new metagame is gonna shape up, as we'll probably have to scrap a lot of old strategies and come up with new ones.  Some abilities that caught my eye:

-Lanturn with Water Absorb?  Oh the mindgames...
-What genius put Lightning rod on Seaking?!
-It's so great that starters aren't limited to the stock "pinch" ability anymore
-Electrode's Aftermath could be useful if you can't pull of an Explosion in time
-Sharpedo with Speed Boost? 
-Who in their right mind would use a Soundproof Abomasnow?
-The polar bear gets swift swim?  This changes everything!

These changes range from game-changing to downright pointless, but it all adds some new flavor to the old guys so that they can compete with the new 5th gen pokes.

Lightning Rod seemed to get shoveled out a bit among the Electric types as well, from what I saw.  I guess for the pure Electrics it can be useful since they resist it.  But Zapdos?  Nope, not happening.

-Who in their right mind would use a Soundproof Abomasnow?

In all fairness, Hail-whoring is about all that Abomasnow is good for.  Short of Wonder Guard, I don't think they could have given him any remotely useful alternative.

Much agreed on Electrode, starters, and especially Sharpedo.

Yeah, some abilities seem.. strange for some of the pokes. But the good news is I get some pokes with good abilities for a change, helping out the Grass types (since I recall I may mostly use grass types)

In that case, Seaking might be able to pull some crazy stuff off after all.   I've also heard that the Rotom forms actually change his typing now (i.e. Fridge Rotom is now Elec/Ice).

Well, it'd be nice to have some reason other than being unwilling to swing the fourth move slot to stick with his default form, I guess...
