Fighting GutsMan with the Buster only takes too long though. BombMan doesn't even want to deal with you, so you get his weapon almost right away. But it doesn't matter just so long as you get the Magnet Beam before IceMan's stage.

rockman x5 was my easy game back then. then rockman x7 to x8 cause still try to get used to its difficulty of course in x7 when i was sucked at that X need to be unlocked after more than 56 reploids rescued. then at x8 gotta try myself to learning the stages, armor capsule locations and boss fights including intermission it a mini-game stage i think but the intermission music rocks.
is this my fate...?? no i will not succumb if the virus purifies me i will become stronger!!! i WILL CRUSH SIGMA NO MATTER WHAT!! EVEN PUTTING MY LIFE AT RISKS!!!

IMHO fighting GutsMan buster-only is a lot more convenient.  Hyper Bomb's delay just makes it feel cumbersome, although it's certainly not as bad as Crash Bomb, given how little Guts Man actually moves.

I take the same order as Vix.  But I must say, ruling out pause physics abuse (something I consider cheap, hence my general distaste for 9's time attacks) 1's fortress bosses are damn evil.  That's what makes it the hardest of the series to me.

MMPU took an interesting route with that.  The fortress bosses are pretty watered down, to say nothing of the stage layouts.  But the RM rematches...hell.  You get the more "modern" 8 teleporter room, except with no recovery, ever.  I don't know who thought that up.

Duke87

Easiest: Battle Network and Star Force in general (post game stuff notwithstanding)
Hardest: X5/X6/X7. Or Megaman and Bass. Pick one.

nobody

Easiest: the Battle Network series. 6 always stands out as particularly easy to me.
Hardest: Megaman & Bass.
Gainax fanboys are the biggest hipsters all around.

OBJECTION MAN

I start with Cut, and don't even bother with the magnet beam until all masters are down.

ViperAcidZX

Easiest: Mega Man X4, Mega Man X5
Hardest: Mega Man 1, Mega Man & Bass (but its not fun for me), Mega Man X8 (same as MM&B).

Chainsaw Guitar

Easiest: Mega Man 1, Mega Man X3
Hardest: Mega Man & Bass, Mega Man X5

Mega Man 1 is short as [parasitic bomb] so you can memorize the whole thing after 1-2 playthroughs and 1cc it in no time. Mega Man X3 is a joke. Almost every single boss in the game can be beaten simply by sticking to the walls and jumping over them when they charge towards you. I'm embarrassed for admitting it, but I still have yet to beat the damn thing as as Mega Man. Mega Man X5 isn't actually difficult, but I can never get into it. Beat it once as X and Zero, never touched it again. :V

Rayl

Easiest: Megaman X2

Hardest: Megaman 4 & Megaman X Command Mission (Don't ask why >_>)

It's embarrassing. Shut up >_>

Edit: Okay [tornado fang] i know that's just going to get you to want to know more so here:
Got to the end of the game with the boss rush, go to the first boss of the boss rush, was WAAAAAY underleveled, went to go back to a previous area to grind a bit but couldn't find my way out of the level, assumed it was a point of no return, raged eternally.
Hypershell

I almost wish I'd used the 3D Chess pic here instead of the Bospider discussion.

Well, Chapter 10 *IS* a point of no return, at least until you clear it.  THEN you get to go back to base.  As for being under-leveled, you are aware that there's a free healer between all boss rematches, right?

No because i couldn't get past the first boss rematch. I was THAT underleveled :p

Hypershell

...I need to ask, how in the hell did you defeat Epsilon if you're incapable of passing the rematch with Jango?

Rayl

Epsilon never did 1000+ damage with every attack after a certain point or if he does he never felt the need to.

I either got very lucky or i somehow just used a tactic on him that caught him in some kind of loop because all he ever did was use one attack over and over again.

Tenshi

Hardest: Rockman 3, I guess.
Easiest: Irregular Hunter X

Easiest: Megaman X2

Hardest: Megaman 4

Fixed it now since i re-bought and utterly demolished Command Mission >_>

Frozen Potato

I'll post it again.....

Easiest:X4,X5,Z1,Z3,Z4......Megaman and Bass(no...im serious...its not all that hard really,well....i havent been playing it along time though but i remember how easy it was)

Hardest:X6....and playing it again....damn ...enemies and shits just throws everything at you till your dead....

Chainsaw Guitar

The thing I love about X6 is that even the doujin games can't match up to it's difficulty. Not even MegaMari. Capcom is truly the master of game design.

Cherrykorock

Easiest: Entire Bn and SF series.
Hardest: X6 playing as unarmored X.
Hardest to deal with: Megaman X7.

Mr. Haxwell

It maybe a little too soon for this, since I still have a bunch of spinoffs and remakes to try out :\. This will be a temporary one, for now.

Easy: Megaman 4. I don't know, the game just feels a lot tamer than the others.
Hardest: My best bet will have to be X7. I maybe abusing savestates to destroy the games difficulty, but if I try to play it fair enough, I'm definitely, positively sure it's going to be my worst nightmare.

Fear me.

Joseph Collins

Easiest: Rockman 5
Hardest: Rockman 9

Seriously. I had little trouble getting to Wily Castle using Blues for some reason, but using Rock, it seems impossible, at times.  >_<
