Chrono Trigger/Cross Topic

I've played through Trigger a couple of times, but I'm just starting to play through Cross. Currently trying to infiltrate Viper Manor now.

What did you think of the coliseum in the DS version? What about any other new features?

Also, has anyone heard of Crimson Echoes or Prophet's Guile?

Great game, horribly overrated.

I enjoyed both... Trigger more than Cross, though. Cross would have been even better if it had nothing to do with Trigger. Also if the characters were more fleshed out... never understood why they went with like 40 PCs, even though they have little to no personality.

Great game, horribly overrated.

Ditto, the game was fun, but the whole multiple ending deal doesn't work well with a sequel since you have to pick from one of the endings to make canon or otherwise change the events that happen afterwords.

I know no music plays during the final boss, but I love their choice of adding that song in, though it's pretty somber and calm for a final boss fight.

I've been thinking of playing Chrono Cross, though it sounds like it's as divisive in popularity as Final Fantasy XII was. There's also the whole thing with Magus/Guile (yeah, yeah, I know the story behind all of that already.)

As far as Chrono Cross is concerned, the music I liked aside from the ones already mentioned is this:

That would indeed be the one. Although, some of the story elements in that area really pisses people off...
