Any night owls up for a match now? I have a waiting room set. The only guy I see online is somebody I don't know (probably registered second-hand) who insists on only playing one-on-one with somebody else.

EDITS: Eh, screw it. The guy (CAUTK) joined but apparently is a real No Items stickler. So I kicked his ass once in Lylat Cruise and left it at that.

These people who keep trying to turn Smash into a traditional fighter, I swear. If you insist on playing No Items, Final Destination, and 1-on-1, then you're playing the wrong game. It doesn't get any more wrong than that without bringing in tiers.

That would be CusK. He is the guy I usually play to get better. I get only ass whooping from him. You must have registered him when you joined up with my games with him.

I figured he was a 2nd-hand register. Not that I care, the more the merrier.

But how in blazes does he beat you? I trashed him pretty thoroughly; you give me a lot more trouble than that. Or is Sonic not his usual?

Sonic not his usual. Try beating his Samus or Link. Seems like he is taking a step further in my predicting ability (I guess what is the next logical attack) and full out memorized my fighting style with all my main characters. Only way I can beat him is using characters I normally don't use.

He seemed adamant with choosing Sonic in the later matches, so either he's practicing him or he's just one of those people who thinks Sonic automatically wins all item matches. I joined in to make a 3-way matchup, took a few rounds to get my mojo working, and he later insisted on 1-on-1 (random sucky fact: You cannot register a new friend if all friends previously registered with you have left the match

). We fought a few when he was done with the other guy, he left for a minute, and I took notice of the No Items label in his description when setting up a new room, so I decided to humor him for one last match. He was still using Sonic anyway.

Well, the psychological game is as valid as any other. That's the main reason I started mixing Peach appearances into my online plays. Sonic works well for that too.

Random off-topic observation: Whoever made the Brawl model for Bowser needs a boot to the head. That hump looks ridiculous. He's the only character for which I actually prefer the Melee model (grew to like Peach's new dress).

Lookin at some of the discussions here, I take it I'd be horrible for a few of you guys at 100%. I'd really love to get some form of IRL RPM Smash tournament going if I had the chance, just to see how well I'd truly match up against you all.
