It was Rockman 3. I was too young back then I can't even defeat Magnet Man! LOL

But my first full experience was Rockman 6. Love every single moment of it.

Then I experience Rockman Zero...The one that redefined me.

First one would be Mega Man 2, although my brother played it more than I did. Although I began playing Mega Man more seriously when X came out.

First one?

Xtreme for the GBC. I know because I always HATED Storm Eagle's stage.

The classic games are sorta difficult for the average person unless you play them about two billion times. Then you still get screwed over in Wily's Castle another thousand times.

This'll be embarrassing to admit... MM7 and MMBN2.  -_-

what? it was the year around 2001 and 2003 at the time.

7 was good, but I hate it , because it's the only classic series game I haven't beat. I hate Wily's final form.

Battle Network 2 was one of the best in the BN series IMO.

This applies to me when I'm playing MM4. Not a fan of the castle stages, either. Also, I want to know who came up with the idea that if you miss the robot master even once, you're screwed because you need ALL of your weapon energy to beat him.  X(

I remember doing this with MM9 as well. 9 was difficult, so you needed practice to beat some of its stages.

Megaman 5.... in 2002.

What still boggles me is that I managed to make it to 10th grade having never even heard of Megaman. How'd that happen?

I still remember when I rented MMX3 from Lion Video. That was back when I first saw Zero and thought he was a girl. Awsome days! XD

We all thought that.  Until we noticed personal pronouns, anyway.

Ah, the days before we considered all fictional characters to be male until proven female...

Megaman 1 was my first, way back in the day. The babysitter's son had it. I remember it vaguely from that time, not being able to beat it. Bomb Man's stage stuck into my memory fairly well it seems. That's what I remember most from back then, maybe because of the unique background art.

In recent times I've revisited and beat it a few times over, and then again with Powered Up.

Mega Man 2. My grandpa gave my brother and I a bunch of old NES games way back when (Clinton was still president). Among them were all four Dragon Warrior games (didn't like them that much then), Pinball Quest, both Startropics games (sadly I lost Zoda's Revenge), and Mega Man 2, among others. Great fun.

Or maybe it was Mega Man X (my uncle gave it to my brother and I when I was like 5). It's a bit too close to call, actually. Damn my memory lapses.

Bomb Man's stage was stuck in my head because I felt compelled to start with it.  I guess since the NES Atlas told me so. ::)  Back then (was still a kid; 1 was my second game) I had trouble with the whole Kamadomas-shooting-over-spikes shpiel.

These days I prefer to start with Guts Man.

Mega Man 1.

I was 5 and my brother was playing it. I looked up to him at the time, and he couldn't beat a single level. So, I asked my mom and dad for the game and they took me to KBtoys, I think. Anyways, I had to choose between 1 and 2. I choose 1 because I like to do things in order. If I had to do it again, i'd choose two.
I selected Cut man first because that was what the cursor was on. I didn't know I could choose any level. After I beat him I realized I could select any stage. I beat Bomb man second, then I selected Elec man. It was at this point that I realized I could change weapons! I had no idea. This made the game much cooler in my eyes.

Mega Man 2 was the first game i played. I remember the first time me and my brother realized that Mega Man could use the bosses weapons after defeating them.. suddenly the game was our favorite game.
The second Mega Man game i played was the first one, but it was to hard for me. I was only 5 years old, or something.

Rockman 3.

My most frustrating experience in the beginning is when I was trying to scale the walls in Magnet Man's stage without a Rush Jet. A few years later, I can do without it up to now.

I've never played any of the US version games, so I was lost when people were talking about difficulty levels. Meaning to say that I've pretty much always played in hard.

Then RCW came for the PSX, and boy did they give a new meaning to hard mode. But I was up to it.
