Because i am a rediculous Mass Effect fan, and because i haven't seen a ME2 thread yet, here ish dah official(ish) Mass Effect 2 thread of threadlyness and limited speculation.

First off, from what i've seen so far, let me just say this game looks amazing. It's a massive improvement over the original game to the point where i can't bring myself to play it after seeing Mass Effect 2's Gameplay videos. Really. And it gets better! Just look at the official website: http://masseffect.bioware.com/universe/

I swear to god I'm going to get this game even if it kills me. As soon as i have some money i am marching down to Game Stop and pre-ordering the Collecter's Edition.

So anyways, anybody else looking forward to this game? thoughts? Comments? Demands to see moar hawt alien ladies? *shot*

Acid

Oh hey, I'm a ME fan too!

ME2 looks so great, can't wait to play it. Bioware is giving me a hard time picking members for my squad. They all seem cool.

Alice in Entropy

Hmmmm...I don't have a 360 and I'm not big into PC gaming. Patch is, though. She likes sci-fi...I might tell her about this.

Sounds pretty crazy. Your kinda game, eh, Mags?

Magnus Ragnar

Yes, this is my kinda game, Nick.

As for Squad Members, i know for a fact i'm using Tali. She's always in my squad in ME, and sence she's coming back for ME2, she gets to join in on the fun again!

Align

I think I'll buy myself ME1 shortly after christmas.

Acid

All I can say so far is that Thane will definitely be in my Squad.

Magnus Ragnar

I'm having a harder time deciding what class i want to play first. My experiences with ME1 have taught me the Soldier and Sentinel are, at least for my style of gameplay, the easiest/most fun to play.

But then again, with the ability to throw biotic curve-balls around cover to send random foes launching into orbit looks freaking awsome.

Sniper X

I'm going to replay ME1. Garrus is my fav in my team.

RockmanHalo

Garrus is my favorite character; aside from Wrex of course.
Talk. Fast.

Garrus is freaking awsome. Sucks he can't return as a squad member, but he does appear in one level where you 'n him team up to kick some ass.

And after watching the three class videos that are on the site, i gotta wonder what new stuff the other classes get. Granted, the only ones left are the Soldier, the Vanguard, and the Infultrator, but that still leaves room for surprises.

Like the Geth party member.

Wait, WHAT?! Where the eff did you hear that?! I DEMAND PROOF, PLZ.

Acid

No confirmation.

Rumors claim Legion might join your squad.

Really? huh. Well, it's technically not that hard to imagine. I mean, in one of the videos BioWare says Legion is part of a splinter FACTION of Geth like himself. If it means there's more Geth like Legion around, it would certainly be interesting. Especially having a Geth in your party with Tali. THAT is just awsomeness and/or hilarity in the making.

I'm going to enjoy me Pre-order, Limited edition, and day one DLC for ME2 even though I won't buy the game for like a month. HAH.

ME2 with the overall Mass Effect series can go [tornado fang] themselves.

It looks like KOTOR with bad next gen Third person shooter concepts tacked on.
If you can prove me wrong, I'd like to see you try.  -_-

Kopaka: "That leaves you and I, Tahu Nuva."
Tahu: "No. That leaves only me."

Commander Shepard: *stares blankly at a video of scantily clad asari dancers* ...What kind of hotel is this?
Liara T'Soni: It is a luxury resort with an... exotic edge.  Azure is slang for a part of the asari body in some places on Illium.
Shepard: Where?
Liara: The lower reaches, near the bottom.
Shepard: I meant, "where on the asari body?"
Liara: So did I.

Setsuna F. Seiei

Yes. But Kotaku and IGN had to [tornado fang] it all up by putting it out there.

Wrong, it's a typical Bioware RPG with bad next gen third person shooter concepts tacked on. It's still a fun game

Setsuna F. Seiei

He doesn't realize they're made by the exact same [tornado fang]ing people.

Haha, no, I know perfectly well it was made by the same dudes who made KOTOR, I wouldn't have said what I have if I didn't know.
