I recently tried playing Megaman & Bass while streaming it on my justin.tv account.
At first it was okay, but then i kept dying and getting hit. And it just got worse. That game is seriously hard.
Try making a no-hit buster only run is like impossible. Seriously! >_<
The fortress bosses are long and annoying. Specially the 2nd stage big giant bosses. They take forever...specially since i didn't know what to use on em.

Anyone else having troubles with it?
I have been playing MM&B on Snes9x, and it indeed IS hard. I had to abuse save states to get through some stages. But the music is nice though.

All I can say is that if you think this game is hard, try the WS version.  The Green Devil in that game is more irritating than some forms of Sigma/Wily!

Not only him...everything in that game is out to take you down in a horrible way...the only easy boss is Rockman Shadow...

I have Megaman and Bass on VBA, It is hard (even with save states), but the reason I haven't been playing it lately was because it got boring mostly, it's not really a fun game, it's more of a "Buy me for something to play on lunch break" kind of game.

In my opinion of course.

Something weird happened to my banner, please wait while I find a new one.

In terms of fun, I found R&F very fun .... right until King stage 2.  I stopped playing for years; it just wasn't fun at all.

R$F WS I played so long ago the emulator didn't even have sound.  Save states took out a chunk of challenge from that game.  It was just such an odd title in every way that I was more focusing on that than anything else.It was just as odd as Megaman PC IMHO.

I couldn't beat a single stage in MMnB2 apart from the intro. :(

Some parts of the first game I found entertaining, but others (that maze in Groundman's level, that last stretch in Burnerman's, the bottomless pits in Magicman's, that damn snowman, etc.) made me rage. It's like the game is bipolar.

I was just too lazy to find the SNES rom, and I was already in the GBA section, so I thought, "might as well,"

and, wow, i'm sorry, but you are a pretty rude person,

weird that we acually have something in common. o~O

The intro was clearly easy.

What I found hard in MM&B was the second half of Burner Man's stage, Burner Man, Dynamo Man, the miniboss in Ground Man's stage (also the second half of that stage), Pirate Man, Magic Man's stage, King stage 2, and the final boss. And yet I enjoy every minute of it.

I am a downright masochist when it comes to games like these...

I honestly didn't know people thought Megaman and Bass was so frustrating, I never had much of a problem with it.
Fighting the flying King tank used to annoy me until I figured out how well the remote mine works against it. Now I'm like, 'wow, he's already dead?'

Also, (like the GBA version), Dynamoman sucks, you can destroy the metal gizmo he uses to heal...

Doesnt make him any less frustrating. He regains health rather quickly. And as Megaman, its annoying, since you cant shoot up. you need to charge shot each side individually, and by then, he's regenerated his health.

...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

When he goes up as Megaman I just jump up on one side and use the copy shot then jump to the other side and shoot that myself so he only gets 3-4 health.

Well, I´ve always used the copy shop when he tried to regain his health int he Snes version. It was easy because I´ve placed the copy in a spot from where after it destroyed one side, the shots continued to the other....but that wasn´t possible in the GBA version...there I use the wave burner for quick destuction

I actually find the Ice Wall effective against the thing Dynamo Man uses to heal... jump on both platforms and use the Ice Wall twice.

if dynamo regens a quarter of his health, you aren't killing him right

You know I kind of prefer a lot of the music from the GBA version over the SNES version.  This may sound strange as the SNES version had a much richer background to it, but I always found the background to be TOO rich in the SNES version to the point that it drowned out the melody.  The GBA version has a much more clear melody leaving percussion in the background where it belongs.  It's more because of different mixing than actual sound quality though.

I agree. The instruments were a lot better on GBA as well. But it's the fuzziness of it that kills it.

I think Megaman & Bass is one of the hardest game in the classic serie. I have beaten the GBA version once, playing as Megaman. I was close to give up several times.

I began to play the SNES version a few days ago. Have only played four or five stages so far and it's not that hard as I remember it. Maybe it's because the most difficult part is the last 1/3 of the game.

Boy, this thread makes me feel better about myself.  I mean, I consider MM&B hard, but not impossibly so.  There are worse titles out there (Lost Levels and ActRaiser 2 come to mind).

Oddly enough I actually prefer the GBA version's boss theme.  Never minded the trimmed screen, either.  Lack of a dash button for Bass is the only thing that ticked me off a bit.
