There are plenty of Projects out there. Mostly hacks though. If you want something done from scratch I suggest you check this:

I remember this, it was canned long ago due to issues in the script probably, or the lack of Zan Sidera.  [eyebrow]

Workshop/DA/YT/Photobucket なにかんがえてるの!?
So its about ass now huh? EVEN THE ASS HAS 'EXCEEDED'!

One mention of LEGENDS and everyone goes batshit.  :\

Yep, every time when someone mentions that game people get energized for an apparent reason whatsoever. It's like this everywhere else, trust me.

It got really messy to find my sprite and comic topic, so it's in my sig.

Yeah, it is. it's happened, read thier fourms a bit an you'll understand, and how long have you been in that eggshell, Acid? (Someone's got to do some info hunting sometime) And the version that's out is the version it was once released I think about a month ago. (I felt the demo was a little slow in my propoganda, they should at least rip the coding right out of the Zero series GBA games, or at least hack it)

the lack of Zan Sidera.

Story elements from the official timeline was needed for the New Horizon story to be as close to the official games as possible.

Yes, apparently, they've run out of the story elements from the official timeline, that's why I referred to our historian.  ;)

And I'm pretty sure there are a lot of dead fanprojects lying around somewhere. There can never be a complete fanproject out there that's dead.

That MM1 re-polishing looks excellent.

iMockery has a whole section devoted to reviews of ROM hacks. Problem is, all lot of said hacks--the Megaman hacks included therein--are, to put it mildly, what would happen if my sophomore Music Appreciation class and everyone I ever had to put up with in 7th and 8th grade got together to make their perfect game. In other words, not the least bit safe for work. Or fun, really. These aren't hacks you download; you read iMockery's skewering of them and have a good laugh at the idiocy of these pseudo-programmers.

Cutman's Bad Scizzors Day and Afro Man are the most worksafe ones, both game-and-review-wise. [Interesting to note than an otherwise unrelated hack, "Mauntlet", has the strangest interpretation of Megaman this side of the MM1 boxart.]

Sorry. Sadly, I don't have as good a grip on fanprojects as everyone else does.

I did have my own at one point, "Mega Wars", but it ended the moment I remembered that I can't program. Not even in GameMaker, which was supposedly program-free. Lying bastards.

Introducing my MM5 hack.
I'll be doing updates here as well as asking for opinions and feedback here.
If you guys have any comments or ideas please go ahead and post them!
I'll begin by listing the goals of the project. =)

This hack aims to take much of the content from Mega Man Powered Up and bring it to the NES in full 8-bit glory. This will be a long-term project as my ASM skills are still in development. I definitely won't be porting every aspect of the game. Some things simply won't be possible for the NES and some things will be more trouble than their worth. If anyone would like to help with the project feel free to PM me. I need the most help with ASM stuff and music porting/remixing. =)

Here is a list of my specific goals:
New title screen
New stage gfx based on MMPU
Upgraded Megaman / Robot Master gfx based on MMB&F
New story sequence
New script
Porting Enemies / Robot Masters / Weapons from other MM games
New Robot Masters, Timeman & Oilman
Convert slide, mega buster, & rush adapters into power up items
Replace rush's graphics with generic accessories
Port music from MM1
Add custom songs for Timeman, Oilman, title screen, etc...

The Alpha version does work~
When you move to a mugshot, the boss name will show up at the bottom of the screen.
The password screen is broken right now, but the title screen is pretty. ^^

As someone who has yet to play Powered Up, I'm very interested in this project. Also, I like the password screen. Very cool. I just wish he'd do the music in the same vein as Powered Up instead of recycling the NES music. Ah well, can't have everything.

But no one has resampled those exact PSP tunes into 8bit yet.
It's hard, and even I wanted to at least make Cut Man's theme someday in the past. >.<

Megaman X1 Zero hack

it makes X look like Zero. but you dont get the hair, because apparently adding the hair Glitches it all up.

I swear, i wish i could have that Hack.

So.... Does this use a US MegaMan 5 ROM, or a Japanese Rockman 5 ROM? I used a US MM5 rom, and some screens looked glitchy. I figured you used the US version since all the titles/conversion looked lie it was hacked for the US version. @_@

Hi everyone, this is my first post and I wanted to share an old Mega Man fan game of mine with you.
It's called The Mega Man Fights and I made it with Game Maker.

Link: http://gmc.yoyogames.com/index.php?showtopic=25623&hl=megaman+fights

The controls are a little strange, but it was really meant to be played with a program called Joy to Key.

I hope everyone enjoys it! :D
