Hah, for the longest time I had some too, damn Light Green Plastic on so many of mine broke that I gave up on collecting them.
That and I lost a lot of pieces, I always liked to play "they get taken apart and I put them back together" with them so I had mostly half built ones lying around.
I guess figures was a natural evolution for that.

Actually, even if we did a full Page 1000 with the last post of page 1000 locking the thread, we would still be at 24999 posts.

The first post of 1001 would be 25000, because reply #1 was the second post in the thread.

Though at the end of page 1000 would be the 25000th post if the system didn't count post #1 as "Topic Start".
