WHY IS PYSCHONAUTS DOWNLOADING A 1.4GB UPDATE WHY DOES THAT GAME EVEN NEED AN UPDATE IT'S LIKE ALMOST 10 YEARS OLD NOW WHY IS THIS HAPPENING WHY WHY WHY.

I'd be a little less annoyed if i weren't on a usage cap but I just really don't understand what is going on.

I used to be there. Lawl Steam on Hughesnet. Every time Team Fortress 2 updated, I just threw my hands up in the air and groaned in frustration. 200 MB for "Fixed an exploit in Badlands" or "added hats for future updates" or "minor global updates". It's like, what the frink. Seriously?

Valve needs to develop a way for Steam to modify the game caches instead of replacing them entirely every update. You can't make me download 4gb for "fixed a glitch on Mac".

On topic, another thing I'm thinking is, "Are ladders really that important in Megaman X? Can I...can I just skip replicating them?"

I downloaded Psychonauts on my PS3, played it for about an hour and stopped because I got a throbbing headache. The display is blurry as hell because, for whatever reason, it's still in standard definition. So I can only play it bit by bit at a time, hoping to avoid another headache.

the PC port offers full widescreen. the only thing blurry are various textures and the outstretched pre-rendered cutscenes. I actually enjoyed the game quite a bit and then just sorta stopped for no particular reason about 3/4 through.

But I still want to know why it had an update that size outta nowhere. |:

A while back, Magicka got a mysterious update that supposedly changed the entire file structure of the game for "better compression". It was more or less the full size of the game, too. Maybe it's something like that?

They're still enabling games from the traditional port 27063 CDN to HTTP, which benefits towards speed and server loading, and provides diff patches. Anything that still updates as a whole is on the old system. Read more here.

So my mom sort of apologized to me for what she said yesterday.

Then she said something along the lines of "I need to have fun" or something, pretty much telling me that if I really want to meet somebody that I need to go out to bat, and that its alright to strike out multiple times since "It won't kill you".

With my problems, I wouldn't be surprised if the first one would turn me into a social recluse, the second one would kill me.

That's kinda the idea. Some cons have speed dating and such. Plus you're more likely to find someone who shares your interests.

I would love to go to the nearest con that I know of that isn't a Local dive (Which is Daisho-Con, if you people were wondering.) But I don't have the free time, or the money, or the willingness to do a long boring drive.

Come to think of it, last time I went to a con (aforementioned local dive), I had a terrible time.

Hardly anybody there, 90% were cosplayers (of Bleach [parasitic bomb], no less), there was one person there that I knew from years ago, though they were just chilling out at the hotel, not because of the con. None of the friends who said they would come showed up, claiming that they "forgot", and I spent the entire night walking around or sitting down doing nothing.

I bought a weekend pass, I went for 5 hours.

I completely agree with you, PB. Some people think it's weird to be so friendly with someone you're dating, but I'm just the opposite way. I think that if you're friends with someone, and it comes naturally, then why not date? Or if you're dating someone, why not be friends as well?

Well that depends on what you expect out of said relationship. Here's the thing...Friends are friends because they are people you generally like to be around. They're there for you when you need them, and visa versa and versa visa. However, when it comes to relationships, you're expected to put the person you are dating first before anyone else. That's where it gets, to quote Run DMC, TRRRRRRICKY! Most relationships that go bad are because one person pushes the friendship a little farther than they really want to go. I'm not even talking about sex. I'm talking about "personal space." Despite people's love for one another, when you start invading someone's personal space, things can be awkward. With friends and family, there needs to be a buffer zone of sorts. Normally friends and family already give you that. When family doesn't, that's when it gets really annoying. When friends don't, friendships can end. That's why relationships are so tricky. Eventually they become both friend and family, so you've got the double whammy effect of that.

What it ultimately comes down to is comfort and how comfortable you feel being around someone and how comfortable they feel being around you.

Well that and the need for the other person to like Mango Lemonade. If they don't, well then...that's that!
