At the risk of getting called out on ridiculing Mary Sues when I have this, I'm just gonna say it...

A while back, I had the thought "What if pokemon actually could push beyond their species' limitations?" So, I've been toying with the idea of psuedo-evolutions and how they would work. I decided to label it as 'ascention', but most people would recognize is as 'SOOPER SAIYAN POKEMANZ HAX'. That is because it CAN be a sort of temporary super form, but it can ALSO be a permanent change. The only way an ascention can really be attained is by proper and/or severe training. The closest I could think of for a 'canon' example of ascention in pokemon is.... Is.... *grumble grumble* Ash's pikachu...

ANYWAY, any pokemon can achieve ascention, but it would be more common among fully-evolved pokemon or pokemon with specific evolution conditions (such as trading, holding a specific item, or stones).

And now, I await the "LOL U IZ STOOPID" comments and the sarcastic "This is a really good idea, NOT" comments.

You know... I had some ridiculous Pokémon fanon ages ago.  It was pretty ridiculous.  I think only The Lost Scrolls of Xatu were the tolerable bits, and even then, I was pushing it with Professor Hypno.  And Carcerus.  And Twisted Mew.  Oh, yes, and in the comic, the Pokémon spoke English while the humans said their names.

But, that fanon was tolerable in comparison to my other fanon that was worse.  Much worse.  Much worse than yours, as this was back in the day when I was still in the grips of Mary Sues and hadn't quite yet learned how not to make one.  I can't call you "stupid" unless I call myself stupid.

Seems like when I drop the carton of milk, I didn't notice that it was leaking a bit in the van. So when I get out to drive it again 2 days later, it had developed a rather ranched smell when it stained the carpet.

Ugh, it still does. I was gonna clean it yesterday, but then the Bay Area decided to have a full blown Thunderstorm, so I didn't feel like going outside under that torrential rain.

However, when I went out to go get something from the van, I realized that I had locked my keys in my room. So in the end, I was standing under the rains for an hour or so waiting for the owner of the room to come back and give me the spare key. Go figure.
