Why do superheroes have such lame weaknesses?
Superman - Kryptronite
Green Lantern- Yellow Objects
Martian Manhunter - Fire
Lame weaknesses? How are they lame?
- Kryptonite are basically irradiated pieces of Superman's home planet. They harm him like radiation harms humans. As Superman gets his powers from his constitution under a yellow sun, Kryptonite takes away those powers and makes him weak. A red sun would also be a weakness for him, but it would simply take away his powers. Superman's also "weak" to magic, but only because magic does the same to him what would do to any human being.
- Green Lantern Corps rings did not work on yellow, because of the Yellow Impurity, which was inside the main power battery. It's gone now, so aside from rookies who still haven't shaken away fear, every ring works on yellow.
- Fire is harmful to a martian's constitution. However, he's stronger to alot other elements we're weak to.
Again, how are these lame? They're just normal weaknesses to normal heroes with different kinds of bodies, human or not.
