I remember I did that to evolve that one pokemon that needed trading to evolve, good times.

one was an accident, then I thought, wow they evolve when you trade? So we traded and captured all the pokemon we could get, and yeah...grueling work.

All I had to go with were two Game Boy Colors and Special Pikachu edition + Blue/Red. I pretty knew how it went thanks to PRIMA back in the day, that's all I had to do. I never really knew about Mew until like what, when Pokemon 1 was showing? That's when I got my Cherubimon card too when Digimon 1 came out. I was pretty much into both, same with Squirtle, I started with an Agumon in Digimon World 1. The only way we could battle as if we had two diffrent Digimon in two seprate memory cards, same with Monster Rancher 1 + 2.

..The thing is, I had almost all the pokecards too.. about Starters 1 + 2, and the boosters... Until G/S came out and started a new line of cards.. now I have like what..? THREE books covering pokemon cards? And I barely knew about Mega Man back in the day too.

I too use to have a ton of Pokemon cards until I had to get rid of them all when I moved here to Ohio with my family. I also had something that would had made me rich until some puink swindled off me and I was stupid enough to give it to him, I hate that and I hope when I find I will kick his....you know.

Intresting, the only times I had the chance to play were against my bro (yeah, the others at elementary and middle around me were going through that "fad" phase). Basically.. capture 3-6 cards from your prize row or exaust your foe's deck to win. I am a little amazed how that worked for a decade.
