Miyamoto is "disappointed in StarFox".

I was pissed enough when I heard the Melee ones. I didn't they could get worse.

Hypershell

I dunno, I think Fox himself had a cool voice in Brawl.  Didn't mind Wolf either.  Falco, on the other hand, most definitely makes me miss the N64.  As did pretty much every recurring character in Adventures.

Melee's flight snippits I tried to dismiss as a joke not meriting tracking down the old cast.

I like Fox's Brawl voice.  Personally, I wouldn't mind them going back to the SNES voices!  XD

We need the cancelled Star Fox 2 game to put on the WiiWare so it won't be forgettable.

Too bad Nintendo wants to forget about it.

I like how Miyamoto somehow managed to get crazier over the years.

Kieran

It's called "getting older."  Old people can be [tornado fang]ing nuts.

Commander Shepard: *stares blankly at a video of scantily clad asari dancers* ...What kind of hotel is this?
Liara T'Soni: It is a luxury resort with an... exotic edge.  Azure is slang for a part of the asari body in some places on Illium.
Shepard: Where?
Liara: The lower reaches, near the bottom.
Shepard: I meant, "where on the asari body?"
Liara: So did I.

Keno

Yea but I bet nobody thought he could. I mean, he's been pushing the known definitions of where wackiness can max out every year of his life.

Not anymore IMO. Look at all the wiggle [parasitic bomb], & that new vibrating ball seems even more stupid.

But his wiggle [parasitic bomb] sells, so his craziness is making money.

Exactly why the other guys are copying it now.

What happens in Vegas stays on Youtube. I also stream on Twitch from time to time.

When it results in things like the Vitality Sensor and now a possible Wii Measure game,

It's not a good thing.

I swear, nothing gets me more confused than people slandering Miyamoto. It's as if making Nintendogs or Wii (name here) erases the fact that the man ever had any part in Super Mario Bros. 3, A Link to The Past, Ocarina of Time, a a metric [parasitic bomb] ton of other things the way people go on. XD

Not to say I endorse everything he does, but seriously, how can anyone not give him the benefit of a doubt with his ideas after looking at all of that?

^When the man is well past his prime and not much has been done to make the genre's he's most heavily involved in stand out, the big things tend to go to the sidelines. It's the George Lucas argument; the man made some great stuff back in the day, but nowadays you're more likely to find junk instead.

I seem to recall something about Miyamoto actually not liking Star Fox whatsoever, or was that someone else from Nintendo?

Doesn't make it not bullshit & doesn't change that it's crazy in the first place. The '80s made money, & lots of stuff popular then was crazy. Even today that stands, just look at Lady Gaga. Too bad the crazy stuff I mentioned is awesome, unlike wiggle waggle Wii.

Precisely. He made all that crazy [parasitic bomb], & then somehow managed to get crazier. He's traversing new territory in crazy.

I've never liked George Lucas. Even his first movies were mediocre. People just talk about them a lot. Not that they're not fun.

Whether or not we think it's bullshit is irrelevant.  Money is money, and it's all that matters in the long run.  People think Justin Timberlake is [parasitic bomb].  People think Halo is [parasitic bomb].  Hell, I thought Transformers 2 was/is the worst movie of the year, but it made a fuckton of money, so they're going to make a 3rd.

This statement makes me so so sad. Other movies, while perhaps not true to the source material, could at least stand on it's own as an OK movie. The same can not be said of that trainwreck.

As for Miyamoto, I'll give the guy the benefit of the doubt. It's not just him coming up with ideas, y'know.

Keno

What was wrong with Transformers 2? What's wrong with them deviating from the source material? It's an adaptation, not a copy.

Fxeni

Nothing all that wrong with deviation from the source material. The problem with Transformers 2 was that it made no sense even as a stand alone movie.

Protoman Blues

GI Joe deviated somewhat from the source material.  Mind you, it wasn't all that great of a movie, but at least I found it enjoyable.
