Cloning, enhanced immunities, enhanced brain activity, enhanced, variable metabolism...
Everyone knows that they cloned a sheep. But did you know they've also cloned dogs, cats, monkeys, and other animals? One day, we may never have to worry about infectious diseases again. Also, the ability to think way beyond your current biological limits and be able to eat whatever you want without gaining any fat. All of these things seem like science fiction or something that's very far off, but in reality: it's the present. They can already clone humans if they want to and enhance our bodies beyond what they can currently do. Even clone our own organs for easy organ transplants. They've created hormones that can exponentially increase our thinking capacities or the speed of our processing. They've also created a hormone that can make our metabolisms automatically adjust to our calorie intake. Why aren't these things being used? Because they're illegal.
Regardless if they're legal or not, people are going to do use these things. In fact, since people are so keen to reject these things as unnatural, scientists are warning that it could cause a war in the near future. If officials don't wise up and realize that the time to start preparing to negotiate with these enhanced individuals could be sooner than they think, it could already be too late. A war between enhanced, super humans and the humans who oppose such enhancements... It definitely does sound like the premise of fantasy, but it's already knocking on our door.
