Rad Lionheart

Nice dark tone.
If you could show off some faster dark themes (More toward a battle theme), and maybe a few other genre/styles I could recommend you to PJ for his project.

Rin

Thanks, Rad.
Who's PJ?

Anyway...
I'm currently trying to learn to do battle themes. For now I only have two tracks which kinda sound like very poor battle themes.

It's those two:
http://www.box.net/shared/t8o4v76loy
http://www.box.net/shared/0sgn88o318

Additionally, I'm trying to do rock/metal/gothic metal musicz in FL Studio, but I have nothing to show right now, cuz all of my attempts sound horrible.

There's also this:
http://www.box.net/shared/44zlo6gm7v
http://www.box.net/shared/b21j1bi89z
http://www.box.net/shared/cgxto37lpx
http://www.box.net/shared/uplj9o39bb - This one is a kinda horror-like... I dunno
http://www.box.net/shared/73hsdcsexf - And the last one.

As you can see... I suck.
Still, thanks for the comment.

DOUBLE POST... I hope.

I made this just a moment ago, simple thing, and yet quite new to me.
A calm song for a city/town/village in a game or some [parasitic bomb].
http://www.box.net/shared/ozpsgx9x4b

Also, that Battle1 song from my previous post... I changed it a bit. It sound better now... I think.

Rad Lionheart

Those are all sounding pretty good to me.

Rin

Thanks Rad, I appreciate it.

So who's this PJ fellow?

Rad Lionheart

PJ, FatherSaintPaul, a former RPM goer.
He's got an MMORPG project he's recruiting for, he's still got a spot available for a composer.
We've got 1 composer who's very retro, one who's very techno, and now all we need is something that fills in another genre/style.
I figure dark and moody would be good, so if you're interested in meeting him some time I can send ya information to the IRC in PM.

He'll be busy and gone today, but tomorrow should be okay.

Rin

Well, I don't know if I'm good enough, but I can try and see what he thinks of my crap.
Beam me up those information, Rad.

also, here's another few I haven't uploaded yet:

http://www.box.net/shared/q4bxeiy9xp

http://www.box.net/shared/op0riakg74 - This one is kinda old, but meh.

http://www.box.net/shared/3rxr92a0pp - lololol

http://www.box.net/shared/lg5rrzirvd

This is really the last one for now.

I really made quite a lot of this crap, no?

CephiYumi:
Thanks for the advice, but... I do know that already. : >

I thought an imaginary fanfic/fan game (imaginary, meaning that it will never exist... possibly).
IT's called: Rockman - Terror of the Asteroids
The main bad guy would be my own version of classic series Slur.
Too tired to say more.
I made this shitty battle theme for a fight against Forte, or something.
http://www.box.net/shared/sbp2bzkiyi Here you guys go.
Tell me how much it sucks, kthx.

Oh God... I'm feeling lonely here.

http://www.box.net/shared/zd07i90bc4

Here, have some WORK IN PROGRESS.
It's a remix, btw. If you couldn't tell by the title. : P

gDAMN...

I've decided to give myself a project... it's Rockman related.
What's it about, you ask? Well... it's about me making ORIGINAL (meaning no remixes) music for events and characters from Rockman Megamix/Gigamix manga by our beloved Hitoshi Ariga.

Anyway... to start off, here have an early version of the Stardroids theme. It's nothing spectacular.

http://www.box.net/shared/elzbd3igol

Also, if you have a suggestion about, for example, what characters/scenes to include in this project of mine... feel free to post here.

kthx.

MrBaryl

What about the Yellow Devil MKII lullaby or when the MM4 masters fight Skullman?

OH! These are good suggestions. I think I will begin workin' on them, once I finish the third Stardroids related track.

Here, have the theme of Terra. I think, however, I'll have to redo this one in more ways than one. I wanted to go for something dark... like, very.
Dunno.
http://www.box.net/shared/ttyphrjkrc

Next up, Terra VS The World's Robots (it's the scene where Terra fights all the various robot masters from all around the world)

This is a track for my maybe-possibly-someday game.
It's a boss battle track.
Critique is appreciated.

Burst

It has a nice progression to it along with some decent melodies.

Me likey.  ~w~

Same as before, except this time for R2.

Dr. Wily II

I too rather liked the final boss theme, seems fitting.

As the for next 2 videos, those were pretty good.

I'm watching you all. Always watching.

Rin

Thanks, Wily... it's a late thanks, but I mostly post here, when I have something new. : P

The above is a track for... a planet, from one of my made up universes, this one is about being all Sci-fi.
Ummm... enjoy?

Rad Lionheart

dammit, I keep realizing I don't have sound on this computer.

Edit: After finding a way to get sound through crappy half broken headphones.
It sounds pretty neat.

Rin

Thanks Rad. : >

This one is kinda a failure. Meh.
http://www.box.net/shared/nk73x9e7uq

This one is pretty cool, at least I think so.
http://www.box.net/shared/inarpg4f1j

Another track related to the same planet called "Hore'y'zan".
http://www.box.net/shared/li8rq8zt8j

Those three are made for that sci-fi universe.
Enjoy, hopefully.

Rin

Hello. This time I bring kinda sorta good stuff.

These two songs came out quite nicely,... even if the first one MIGHT be a bit too long.
Shame I couldn't figure out a good drum beat for this one.

http://www.box.net/shared/g88rh37zf9

And the second:
http://www.box.net/shared/oa9ozf97ce

They are related to one of my story ideas, but unrelated to that sci-fi universe the previous songs were about.

Kevvviiinnn

I really gotta get to listening to these. Think you could compile the links into a single post so it's a little more organized? I have no problem going page by page, but it could be a lot more convenient.

Rin

Okay then, I'll post here everything of mine, that I deem worthy.

It seems nobody "loves" me, because I get no feedback on this crap. : <

http://www.box.net/shared/hhl6ps1cor

Krystal

Supreme Ruler of Time and Space v3 sounds good =O The drums sit really well with the song =B It's good buildup and atmosphere =w=b GJGJ.

A lot of your older songs seem to rely more on the tone of the instruments than a strong composition in itself, whilst that's not always a bad thing, I like the shift in focus :3 Or maybe you just worked harder
Run! is interesting, but I think the backing violin (viola?) should've changed in urgency when the drums started. It sounds a bit off still meandering along whilst the tone of the song shifts.
Infinity Ark Appears is a bit chaotic at the start with the cymbals (? xD) everywhere. I'm not saying they should be removed, but the frequencies clash, which makes things hard to make out. Try using an EQ on the vocals...?
BGM5 is...hm...interesting, but a bit short for a BGM. Sounds like a space military ceremony or something~ You do interesting drums I'm not saying this because I suck with drums

Rin

Wheee... thankies.

I've noted your input and I shall put it to good use, once I get off my lazy ass. : P

http://www.box.net/shared/ziijvp9aa5

Here's a different kind of song, from the ones I usually make.
Meaning, it's not OH LOL SO DARK.
Enjoy?

Krystal

Not dark, meaning it's a hauntingly depressing piano/music box theme about a girl who saw death?

Well, either way, I like it. Pianos always work well with music boxes, but I think you should've made the music box a part of the ambience, throughout the song I kept hearing moments where it felt like something inside a lonely room. Strings always make good backing. I wonder how it would sound if you added natural sounds to the song.

Rin

Thanks again... your input is always appreciated (in fact, input from anybody is always appreciated, but well). : D

Although, I need to ask, since my brain seems to not work how it should... what do you exactly mean by "natural sounds"?

Krystal

Ambience =O Background sounds. Wind, rain, birds, footsteps, air conditioners those kind of things. It turns music into a soundscape, and a soundscape was the feel that I got from the song~

Of course if you're aiming for BGM, then you should keep it pure. But if you're just making music/sounds for fun, it's a good thing to dabble in! Did it at uni, had fun with it

Rin
