if Mega Man can kill robots with wind, he can most certainly use a bubble.

Except those are TORNADOES! Unless the robots are TIV's, there's not much that can stand up to a tornado, especially a puny little robot that doesn't weigh more than a ton (and I doubt any of the robots Mega Man fights weigh as such). Even then a ton isn't a sure-fire way to avoid a tornado (9 tons is a better number), so that means every robot Mega Man goes up against is screwed if he has a tornado weapon.

But those funnel clouds are so small... I don't think they can be real tornadoes.  I bet they are just TopMan's tops with swirls painted on them.  Hey, this could go in my sourcebook!

ABOUT AIRMAN

Did you know that he is really TopMan in disguise?  It's true!  TopMan thought that he could be taken more seriously if he pretended that his tops were whirlwinds, but eventually he learned to be happy with himself the way he was, after watching some Disney show.

You know what?
It's a damned bubble that shows you the way, and happens to be made of lead so it just don't float away.
So there. You can call it both ways now. To be honest I thought it was pronounced Bubbles Led however.

I'm amazed that this is still an issue...RM2 itself already gave a conclusive answer on this, back in 1988 >.>

ofcourse, given if you can't read katakana and download/purchase RM2, you can still convince yourself those bubbles are made of led, even when there is NO VISUAL inclination for it to be so >.>

If the bubbles would be made of lead...don't you think they would have been GREY instead of transparant >.>

I think the "name" means that it leads itself across the ground.
The element is explained from source books.
But names in the games are supposed to explain their function in a game situation.
It's not always meant to explain more complicated stuff than that.
That's what the source books are for.

Capslock must be tied to idiocy...look at the freaking bubbles, if they were made of lead, would they still be transparant, the answer is NO, so go stuff your fail logic where the sun doesn't shine.
Also, while the bubbles drop fast, for bubbles that is, they don't drop nearly fast enough to be made of lead, barring the fact that it is a chemical impossibility.

WHY CAN'T IT BE BOTH!?!?!?!

BECAUSE CAPCOM SAYS SO!!!111111!!!! >.>

Okay. I'm willing to pronounce it as Bubble "Leed" (after all, that is the Kanji pronunciation), IF we can say that these bubbles are made of Pb/Lead or some Metal/Metalloid/fusion that is extremely Lead-like.

The bubble is made from a unique liquid with phenomenal surface tension, Plumbum is not a liquid, nor is it unique, nor does it have phenomenal surface tension. Also, BubbleMan is an environmentalist, he isn't going to go pollute the ocean with lead bubbles.

Finally, I'm just going to play devil's advocate and say it's Bubble Read.
