Here's my new wishlist. I've become a little iffy about the dual-core GPUs (4850X2, 4870X2, and 295 GTX) and decided to go with a single-core. Now, the reason why I picked the 285 GTX is because when they're in triple-SLI, they're the best GPU system on the market. I'm starting off with two because I can't afford to buy three at once. I'll buy another one some other time.

I changed my mind back to the 4870 X2, except I'll just go with one--to avoid the mess with the crappy CrossFireX drivers.

After thinking about it, I decided that it might be better for me to wait a few more months before building my new desktop. Mainly because there's going to be a lot of new releases in hardware soon and it's better to wait a while before buying them. At release, hardware typically has poor drivers, which means slow performance on something that should be fast. Plus, it'll give Windows 7 a little time to mature before I buy it. Not only that, but Office 2010 will be out by then.
Instead, I've been thinking of buying a lappy-chan. So far, the
Asus G Series G71Gx-A1 NoteBook has given me the best deal. Plus, it's from Asus, which is a company known for its quality. It's just under $2,400 after two-year and extended warranty and shipping.
