...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

Acid

Flame

Ninetails

Hagane no Renkinjutsushi= Fullmetal Alchemist, which I'm reading.

I'm also reading Naruto, but I'm getting kinda bored with it so I'm basically just trying to see how it ends.

Flame

Finished Pretty Face.
Hadn't realized it ended.
The author was oing on about how he was sorry he made an inconclusive ending, but I think it wa pretty conclusive. I mean, Yuna said "for a year" so Randou would only have to stay like that for another year. Afterward  he can have his face surgery (as in beat up the doctor into doing it for real this time.)

Also, started reading Hakoiri Devil Princess.

Pretty Face was rather awesome.

Shiki Tohno

Yes, very. You know, when Randoh actually went and confessed, I for one DID think that the idiot nutjob who operated on him had actually given him his real face (yeah, I'm naïve like that). It hit home a bit when I saw it was a mask and stuff.

Flame

No, your not alone, I thought he had given him his real face too. I was kinda like WTF when it came off though. then was like ooohhh... Seriously though, I lold at the depressing alternate ending.

"... Is he dreaming...?"
"Doctor, his heart has stopped."

I was like WTF, Im glad he didnt use that. I cant stand those kind of meaningless  endings.
case in point Chibi Vampire.

Flame

ST Jestah

It wasn't supposed to, it was made for the lulz. Which is why it's so stupid...and that's why I love it.

Flame

Im fine with lulz, but thats not lulz. thats just downright stupidity.

ST Jestah

True, after reading a couple more of the chapters it pretty much is complete and utter stupidity...and I still love it. After I'm done with that, I'm going to read One Piece, Bleach, Code Geass or anything else intresting...any recommendation(s)?

Flame

Something less common/mainstream and less meeeeh~

mmm... I would recommend some of the ones Im reading  currently.

lessee... GS Mikami is fun,
Rosario + Vampire is really good too,
Claymore is awesome,
and...
ummm- ah, Pretty Face, the Manga Shiki and myself were discussing a few posts back. Its also fun.

If you want fun/comedy, go for Pretty Face or GS Mikami.
If you want Action and maybe a bit of a mix of the above, go for Rosario Vampire.
Claymore is if you want the action and nothing more.

Was I any help, Strange?

ST Jestah

Hmmm, They all sound intresting. I believe I'll start with Claymore and Rosario + Vampire. Thanks Flame.

borockman

Those are excellent choices, especially Claymore.

Proud member of Indigo tribe!

Flame

Indeed. Claymore is win. Massive win. and in the Anime's case, Its also win, even though near the end it breaks from the Manga storyline. its so awesome that it can be forgiven. Plus its just one of those "we made our own ending cuz the mange aint finished" things.

Next chapter of Hekikai no AiON came out...
I still cant say much on the Manga since only 2 chapters are out, but its getting interesting.

Honestly, I think Claymore shouldn't have altered the ending. The manga was going into timeskip, they should have just left the ending as that. The only thing the anime has that the manga lacks is the big Priscilla battle before the end, which really wasn't needed.

Of course, it's less bad than Death Note just changing things for the hell of it.

Flame

Yeah, I thought the same thing. they just as well could have left it there, without changing it.
Although at least... at least, they didnt change everything leading up to it. it was just that thing stuck at the end. it was still more or less faithful except for the ending.
