Posted on: March 24, 2011, 12:01:56 AMRead a manga series called "Ludwig Revolution". It's pretty neat. It takes the Brothers Grimm fairy tales and gives them a different twist. (more often than not, a [tornado fang]'d up one.)

Its surprisingly short, only 4 volumes, when there are so many fairy tales to adapt.

Story is theres this prince, Ludwig, who is pretty much an [dark hold] womanizer, who happens to have a hobby of collecting beautiful female corpses. So his father gets fed up with him and tells him to not return until he has found a princess to marry.

And from there, along with his servant Wilhelm, he encounters the princesses from all them old fairy tales. But like I said before, they have a twist, and not all is as it seems to be most of the time.

It's really good. I recommend it.

(He drops the corpse collecting pretty quickly, right after he gets kicked out, which is after the first story.)

SO, anyone else reading Magico? It's a new SJ manga. To quote TVTropes because I don't feel like writing much at almost 3AM

As soon as 16-year old country girl Emma arrives at the city of Hawk Eye, every man in the city falls madly in love with her. The king in particular tries to force her into marriage... and then a sorceror kidnaps her.

The sorcerer introduces himself as Shion, one of the youngest and most talented in the nation. He explains to Emma that she is cursed with the Echidna, a mysterious magic that happens every 500 years where a girl is born with her heart packed with such powerful dark magic that it has the potential to destroy the world. With the Echidna, one could rule the world, and Shion explains that people are going to try and hunt her down to get her heart.

However, just when Emma has given up on living a normal life, she is told that there exists a ritual that will rid her of the Echidna curse: the ritual Magico, which consists of many difficult trials... the first of which requires Emma and Shion to marry each other.

It's been pretty good so far. I like how right now the party feels more like family than "nakama", and I mean actual family, as in husband/wife/child. Also, the main characters get married in the first chapter, that has to be violating some rules of Shonen or something D:

Finished reading Death Note: BB Murder Cases. Not really a manga, but a novel (even though MAL lists it in the manga section).

Pretty good read... until the ending. Rushed as all hell. Beyond Birthday's conclusion in the story was sloppy and made it seem that the writer's were out of ideas. His methods and motive were alright, but the ending was still extremely lackluster to an otherwise enjoyable plot.

Now that chapter 73 is translated, I was able to finally finish Tsukihime.

OH SHAT, almost forgot about that. I better get to continuing it.

I've been meaning to watch the series at some point. Now that they're starting over from the beginning, it would be a great place to start for others and me included. Not to mention that Madhouse is in charge this time, so expect A+ quality.

I'm reading an awesome manga by the title of D-Frag!
It's pure comedy gold, with a lot of absurdity and some slight romance and maybe harem elements thrown in (though it doesn't suffer from, you know, stupid ass fanservice).

If anybody is interested, here's a quick summary:

It's about a.guy named Kenji who is a deliquent at school and along with his two pals he wanders into the "Game Creator Club" in order to "borrow" something.
However, he gets more than he bargained for when the club members turn out to be batshit crazy girls and in the end he is forced to join.
And all hell breaks lose.

It doesn't sound too interesting, but it really is [tornado fang]ing amazing. I've just caught up with all of the chapters (currently translated that is).
