I prefer Sour and Bitter, with some Spicy thrown in.
Not too fond of Salty or Sugary though.

Notice how places like Pizza Hut have to try and jazz up their pizza with silly things like putting cheese in the crust, to make up for it's terrible taste.  Being a fast food pizza place, their pizza pies usually come pre packaged and made, and just shoved into a conveyor belt style oven to cook it as quickly as possible.  Their sauce is pre made, and quite frankly, god awful.  Nothing wrong with the Cheese & Flavored Crust, but the pre-packaged sauce is pretty awful.

Now look at this NY Style Pizza.  Notice the strong crust, perfectly holding up the delicious slice.  See how the cheese drips off of the slice and how well cooked it has been, cooked inside of a brick oven, the way Pizza is suppose to be prepared.  The sauce at good NY style pizzerias are prepared on the spot.  Not all of them are to everyone's liking mind you, which is why it's good to find good places in NYC to go to.  However, the sauce is not pre-packaged fast food McDonalds type crap, like Pizza Hut & Dominoes.

Yes, it is true.  The crust is also a key factor is good pizza science.  Mind you, there are those people who like weak, floppy crust.  I am not one of those people.  When my slice comes out of it's brick oven, not only should the cheese be bubbling, but when I hold the slice in my hand, the front of the slice should stay perfectly still, to signify the delicious crunch of the bite and the soon to be burnt roof of my mouth.  Crispy, brick over crust is also important for those who like to fold there pizza as to take more in with each bite.  I was never a folder, but that's my own preference.

Another reason for strong, delicious brick oven style crust would be toppings.  Pepperoni was my only topping of choice, but strong crust is essentially for keeping the slice strong enough to handle toppings.  Take this pie, for example.  You can see how nicely the crust is cooked here, due to the superiority of the brick oven.  A slice from this pie will stay strong, and the pepperoni will be well cooked as well.

I mean, there are just some things that are better in certain places.

Now, this is a Bistro Burger from the Corner Bistro.  It is heralded as the best burger in NYC, which may very well be true as I have has this burger many a time, and it is delicious.  Is it the best burger in the country though?  Probably not.  Although, costing only $5.50 for this "full all day" burger, the price is certainly right.

Another example is the Philly Cheesesteak.  I have tried a couple places in NYC, after having a TRUE Philly Cheesesteak from Philly, and I can tell you that really none compare to a Cheesesteak from Philly.  Try as they might, it's just not as good.

But Pizza?  NY Style Pizza really is second to none, except for maybe going to Italy.  Pizza is one of those foods that are just better in NY.

Junior's Cheesecake is another.

Like this slice of Carrot Cheesecake (my personal favorite) from Junior's.  No other cheesecake in the world is this good.  None.

That's probably why indeed.
Now show me something with Smoked Salmon.
I'm a British Columbian, I love smoked salmon.

Protoman Blues

Sorry, but I prefer my Salmon raw and wrapped in White Rice & Seaweed!  XD

Rad Lionheart

My stomach disagree'd with sushi.
Not so much it wanted it all out the way it came in, but it didn't so much enjoy it's company.

Protoman Blues

My tummy loves Sushi very much.  A lot more than cooked fish actually.

Cept for Fish Sticks!   8D

Sparky

I won't even dare to touch Sushi. I don't trust raw fish one bit.

Sushi is actually my favorite food, despite the fact that most people I know are disgusted at the fact that I like eating raw fish.  I'm a big fan of Salmon and Tuna, though I have yet to try Eel.  Soy sauce, wasabi, and ginger just make it better!  :)

I agree with the title statment entirely. NYC Food would taste better then me. ...I think... *begins consuming leg*

Sushi isn't that bad, just make sure its completely clean, and fresh. I've been in the mid west, so I assure you, well traveled sushi tastes how one would expect excrement to taste.
