Not real news or media for now but Takeshi Horinouchi confirm that the game is a remake of the first EXE game.

But isn't that news?

A rather curious message has appeared on the Ryuusei no Rockman 3 website. Accessing the Satellite Server, where one can see messages from the Satella Police wizard Clark, this came up at the same time the EXE:OSS site went online:

Currently, it sounds like the Satella Police are secretly developing a new program to be included in Wizards. It's rumored that if used one "can control time" but... is something like that really possible?

While it is technically only speculation, it is highly likely this message hints at OSS's contents, at least surrounding the character Clock Genius. A little food for thought, certainly.

The Great Gonzo

Hmm...so if it's a remake of EXE1 and Subaru goes back in time...does that mean the original EXE1 is invalidated?

Hmm...I'm calling it right now, EXE1 remake with a crossover post game story.

No, it just means that it's going to get jerked around a little, sort of forming a small split time line.

I can't wait for this game. Quick question, is this a complete remake of EXE1, or a kind of crossover with Ryuusei?

HyperSonicEXE

As far as the story goes, I'd assume it's a crossover (we got that hint about the Starforce denizens trying out time-travel and what not).

But as far as gameplay? Anyone's guess.

X-3

I'm not truly thrilled for a remake of BN1, but I'll be interested if it ends up being a "mixed-up" remake, like Powered Up sorta was. Or something.

For a sidequest/post-game scenario maybe, but it should still have EXE1's story. It wouldn't be a remake if it didn't.

This may or may not happen, but I'm envisioning a plot akin to Back to the Future-esque plot that involves saving the rookie Lan and Hub from other disasters (i.e. they defeat TimeMan.EXE [aka Clock Genius] instead of Lan and MegaMan) while the main plot is occurring.

It'd be a deal where Geo and Omega-Xis are there firsthand to see the events of MMBN1; after all, GutsMan and Bass are on the Aura and DreamAura BattleCards in MMSF1. Now G&O could get in on the same action as L&M, but then you're really messing with canon and continuity at that point.
