To get the thread back up to speed:
>Tribalman's Shiv is still [tornado fang]ing bullshit, even after the nerf.
>Engineer update. The Gunslinger is just plain gorgeous, and in my opinion it made Engie about three thousand times cooler than he already was. I have no use for Mini Sentries, but I see a lot of people using it anyway just to look cool.
>The Wrangler is an absolutely fabulous idea, however, the model for it is extremely DERPY. Look at it. Seriously.
>Frontier Justice is basically "[tornado fang] you for blowing up my sentry" the gun. You're supposed to rack up a ton of kills to get a ton of revenge crits. But a well placed Sentry that collects a lot of kills won't blow up so easily, so you might not even use your revenge crits at all.
>Southern Hospitality (if i'm remembering the name correctly) is a terrible, terrible, terrible weapon. It looks like it was designed specifically to look intimidating from a distance, but not actually be that scary in combat. The bleed mechanic being applied to it is nice, as the Tribalman's Shiv being the only bleed-effect weapon was kind of bullshit for a long time, but other than that, this weapon is pretty useless. It's neat to look at but I'd rather eyehump the Gunslinger, personally.
>Golden Wrenches. The scandal about Drunkenfool cheating to get them was more entertaining then the wrenches themselves. I never got one myself, and neither did anyone I knew.
>The Polycount update. I wasn't a big fan. Though, the Spy's Polycount selection was created by a member of TF2chan whom I've spent more than a little time speaking with. It was pretty cool to see someone I was acquainted with come out on top.
>Unfortunately, in the polycount pack, the Soldier got the ONLY good looking gun. The. Only. One. Even Spy's didn't impress me, it just looks like a recolor of the standard revolver to me.
>The Scout's Polycount selection is the most bullshit of all. A milkman hat. A giant fish for a melee weapon. A pistol with four barrels. A bottle of milk. I hate everything about this pack.
>In relation to the Scout, and myself personally, I got my first random hat drop yesterday. It was a hatless Scout. First I was really happy, then I got mad. Someday I will craft a Texas Ten Gallon. And then I will be able to shut up about hats.
